This is the standard of a family that prides itself for its courage and loyalty. The Iron Guard originated from this family, so the standard bears a resemblance of the Iron Guard's helmet along with five jewels representing the riches of the family.
EDIT:
A little technical change... Design is still the same though... This time the colors are darker. Because it is all about design I just placed it right here as just sort of an alternate variation.

Here are my designs:
A banner of a renowned blacksmith family.
This is the banner of the dwarven family that replaced the Great Minas Tirith Gate. Famous blacksmiths that specialize in gate crafting.
This is the crest of a dwarven family that came with Dain Ironfoot from the Iron hills and settled in Erebor. A family of great warriors.
This family of gem miners does not have a particular banner but instead inlay their bracers with two blue and one red gem.
The insignia of the House of Groin and his two sons Gloin(father of Gimli) and Oin, espesially good at making fire.
Most of these were drawn by hand and coloured with Photoshop. The runes are from a font.

...The Journey doesn't end here; death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass. And then you see it. White shores...and beyond. A far green country, under a swift sunrise...
...Many folk like to know beforehand what is to be set on the table; but those who have laboured to prepare the feast like to keep their secret; for wonder makes the words of praise louder...

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

Um , what exactly is it ?
Not sure, but I've seen it before. I think it may be from that "Last Alliance" independant game.

So here is a khazad guard banner as nertea wished.
I think the quality isn´t good yet, but i think it shows in which direction it should go.
i will make a second one with better quality^^
Discription:
The hlemet in the center of the banner stands for the grandfather of this family who fought in the battle of Moria
as Khazad Guard and where killed by orks. For this reason there are the letters which mean:" Khazâd ai-mênu"
this is the battle cry gimli is shouting at helms deep and means something like :" Revange for Khazâd(-dûm)".
The ax in the baground is a symbol of the family's stand, as they are warriors defending Erebor or another dwarf hold. The color Red is a symbol for the dwarfs killed in so many battles, the blue streaks symbolizes the differences withe the elves and the men. Furthermore the big green streaks stands for the little hope for peace in middle earth.
