Hello all! My first post

The Sky has Fallen!

I am new to modding and really only want to do one thing:
I want to add Gimli, Elrond, Arwen and Legolas to use with Men in ROTWK.

I used FinalBig, added the following lines to playertemplate.ini:

Original:

BuildableHeroesMP		= CreateAHero RohanEowyn RohanEomer GondorBoromir RohanTheoden GondorFaramir GondorAragornMP GondorGandalf

My changes:

I resarted ROTWK, started a skirmish against the computer, and sure enough my heroes are there and playable. However, if any of the ones I added die, I cannot bring them back. They are not on the menu when I click on the castle. Any of the normal heroes (Gandalf, Aragon, etc) come back, but not the new ones I added.

I have read through the guides but many of them are a bit confusing. Can anyone let me know what I am missing?

i think you can bring them back.it is just that you have to train some heroes so that their icons of those you added will be shown and you will be able to bring them back.I am not sure about this but i will see if it happens to me too.

I tried it ta the dwarven faction and it works fine.i got arwen killed an i could revive her.

Yeah the weird thing is this - I can revive them, I just found out. But it's at random times. Sometimes I have to revive other heroes first, and then the appear in the list. Very odd thing, but at least it is working.

So how do I add more revive slots, exactly? Is there a guide anywhere?

Or, if you don't want to go through all of that, you can just delete any heroes you don't want in the Men faction, so if you didn't want Eowyn and Eomer, just delete their two names from the playertemplate.ini, or you can add them to a different faction in case you want them back later and don't remember how exactly to get them. As said above, the other way is to edit the comandset.ini of the Men faction fortress, which can be a bit confusing, so I usually just delete the heroes names that i don't want or don't use. Hope this helps!


I haven't been active here in a long, long time.. Maybe this game will steal back my attention. Until that happens, I guess I'll just play Call of Duty 4!
