Big counters would be pointless - the superlaser would take care of those. The best counters are K-wings or ATRs.are the rebels going to get something to big counter it?
Well, I had to teach myself MAXScript, then I had to write the script to create the hardpoint bones, then I wrote another script with PHP to do the hardpoint code. But it only took about 20 hours or so, mostly of trial and error. Of course, the model itself is another matter, I had started and generally finished that (save for bones) a while ago.Btw, how long did this take you to do this???
Yes, but he's still working on polish.P.S. Did jdk002 finish any new maps yet

1. A planet?
Not the planet below the Soverign - but the shape above and behind (centre of screenshot), with what looks like thrusters/lights on it!
What is it - it looks strange... Is it a pirate base, moon or another monster ship?
As to blindspots - I meant like behind the engines or something.
Ok. Phrase it another way, what is the firing arc of the superlaser?
Or if you tuck in behind the engines, or nice and close to the command tower (say 10k behind the nose!) and blast away, will you be safe from the superlaser at least!

Yeah, i think Mafran is probablyt right, it looks like a MC ship, and is actually in the forespace of the shot. Not the planet below the Soverign - but the shape above and behind (centre of screenshot), with what looks like thrusters/lights on it!

I suspect that it will work the same way as the Eclipse or DSII superlaser, in that it can hit any suitably sized enemy ship in the battle. As to blindspots - I meant like behind the engines or something.

360 degrees unfortunately. You could probably shoot through yourself and/or other friendlies even . But there are places to hide from the turbolasers.Ok. Phrase it another way, what is the firing arc of the superlaser?
Yes, that's the new model.Well I think its a Independence-class MC120 Star Cruiser.
Good eye. That's actually one of the planetary reskins/hex edits that I've been working on. That one is Byss:Hehe, thought so since I think i see a little different color planet below one of the pictures
Boom. Same difference as the Death Star in other words, I was just speaking technically; the dreadnought superlasers aren't powerful enough to obliterate a planet outright. What happens when you shoot a planet or base then?

you can build as many as your economy will allow... theoritically NO LIMITCan all of these different dreadnoughts (the Praetor, Sovereign, and the Executor) be built as individual, mass-produced units, or are the dreadnoughts only obtainable as hero upgrades?

My question isn't about how many can be acquired. My question is: Are the dreadnoughts only obtainable as hero upgrades, or can they be mass-produced at level 5 space stations like the other generic ships?
