Dunno whether I've posted here or not, but...
I mainly like to read sci-fi, fantasy, and historical books. Like others here, I enjoy books from the ninteenth and early twentieth century, lol. Some of my favourite authors are:
-The Proffesor
-Mark Twain
-H. G. Wells
-Michael Chriton
and
-Jules Verne
As for specific books, I like:
-The Red Badge of Courage
-I Am Legend
-Moby-Dick
-Holes
-The Da Vinci Code
-1984
-Animal Farm
and
-The Halo novels. Not good exactly for literature, but if you play the games (campaign, mostly (not you stupid 12-year olds butchering the English language on Live)) I'm sure you'd like the books.
I've gotta say, though, some of the books they 'force' you to read in school are alright - I read "Animal Farm" for an assignment, and that sent me into "1984", and later, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Lost World."
I also like the Sherlock Holmes' short stories.
Cheers,
-mike

The lost world is one of my old favourites. All the challenger books after that go a bit.. odd.
On the subject of kids being incredibly ignorant and stupid, Elvenfury knows about wrestling (Guess he must be about 12ish then?) but doesn't know who David Bowie is. This means he's never heard Life on Mars, Space Oddity or anything else. He'll be telling me next he doesn't know who the Stones or Pink Floyd are next.
