Boldog the structure hero for the goblins must have a spear and a spear related power. In The Silmarillion Boldog is a very powerful orc, almost considered to be a maia, His great iron spear was his most notable trait and was later used to hunt and help kill carcaroth. the spear should be easy enough to put in the game, but you could add a passive power to it called.
"Spear of the Dark Orc"
a passive ability that raises the damage of the surrounding troops by 60% armor by 50% and speed by 25%
-or-
A righteous :good: stabbing motion in which boldog can destroy entire batalions
-tell me what you think

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Angmar faction idea:
the shadows of numenor
this would be a middle type cavalry unit for the angband faction taking the form of black numenorian riders. they would be more effective than the wolf riders who die rather easily, but less effective than the elite snow troll battalion. thew would be styled similar to a rohirrim warrior only much darker colors, by this i mean that they would not wear plate armor, but rather leather armor over chain mail. they should also wear the helmet that the black numenorian swordsmen have. They would have spears, and ride horses similar to that of the dark riders of mordor. They will not have the ability to toggle between bows and spears, also will have no special abilities whatsoever.
-tell me what you think
p.s. i think this unit needs a better name

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guards of Edoras
they could toggle between spears and bows, fully upgradable, and in a 2/3x5 formation
They would serve as a unique unit for the MOTW and any faction as no other unit is similar to this one except for galdrihm (spelling :p ) so i thought it was pretty unique when he told it to me and i just wanted to share it with you all.
basically they look like a rohirrim soldier unmounted
-tell me what you think

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MORDOR HEAVY CAVALRY:

Hammers of Núrn
backstory:used as intimidation for the slaves raising the food for the armies of sauron these companies of black uruks sit atop the few horses that mordor has in its possesion are now called to terrorize the troops of Gondor. Clad in full armor, and hammers in hand these warriors are ready to intimidate something other than slaves
strong against:archers, and swordsmen (maybe other cavalry)
fully upgradable

imagine these guys on horses and with hammers:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ELVEN LATE-GAME SPEARMEN:

mirkwood highlanders
backstory: the tribes of elves that reside in the mountains of mirkwood are said to be the hardiest of peoples. They have had to endure many a creature and foe to maintain their mountain villages. Now in his hour of need king thranduil calls these people down from the mountains to aid in the War of the Ring
strong against: monsters, and cavalry (maybe structures)
fully upgradable.

imagine elves like this:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ELVEN LATE-GAME CAVALRY

Noldorian marshals

backstory: The remaining riders of the destroyed kingdoms of Beleriand have now banded together to patrol the kingdoms of the elves. Secretly they ride out from their base in Eryn Vorn, in Eregion, to way lay the parties of orcs, dunlandings, and uruk-hai. They fight with extra viciousness as they refused the valar's offer to return to valinor and now must fight to have the Ban lifted. During the War of the Ring, these riders exit the black forest a final time, and this ride shall be their last, either they will die or return to valinor

imagine this (sorta), but on a horse:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MOTW MID-LATE GAME INFANTRY

CHAMPION OF DOL AMROTH

Real easy to make, just reskin sauorn with a lighter more royal looking skin. Just make him overall less powerful, but still with area of effect damage on. This unit would be used similar to a uruk berserker. A fast unit to lead the charge against the enemy

what i meant was that the elves do not have any defense for walls
an example of a defense for walls would be like the trebuchet for Men of the West
so in its stead you should put another structure in, the hill of spies comes in here
I meant that this would act like a watch tower, but with like the firing capability of one that is stocked with three archer batalions.
You wouldn't need to waste batalions for beefing up your defenses now as you have a structure that is very adept at defense without even using batallions. batallions are so precious to the elves any ways, especially archers and to waste them is terrible.
that is what i meant any questions?

oh an lacrossman ill just put in my own siggy that says "honorary guy that makes up good ideas but not part of WOTE team" cuz its too late to join any ways

i'm sorry for the confusion but it is not a wall structure it is a better watch tower, more expensive and more powerful it does not go on a wall. It is just to make up for the fact that the elves do not have a wall defense that they should have a better single defense structure

Weeell...

Nargothrond Spies: Sorry, but I fear this isn't going to happen (at least not in the near future). The elves are already full on stealthy, deadly ranged units. Mirkwood Archers, Galadhrim Warriors, Noldor Warriors (and I still didn't count Lorien Archers and Lindon Horse Archers). Isn't THAT enough ?

New tower(s) for elves: The elves are supposed to be an offensive faction in the first place. Don't forget what their towers are capeable of, especially when filled with archers. Ithron might think adding wall-towers for all factions sometime later, though.

Spear for Boldog: Not impossible, but I, for one, think that Bolgod's model could use an update first. He was a very early model and a lot of details aren't shown. However, it would be really nice to have a spear-based power, making him more fitting to the books. BUT, even if he would get such a power, it should be either a spear-throw, OR a powerful blowing attack (maybe even with a knockback effect).

Overall, your ideas are not bad, but you'll need to think some things through before posting. If you are uncertain about something, feel free to PM me or Elendil the High :p

PS: Oh, and please, put all your suggestions to the FIRST POST (use the "Edit" buttom  ) in an organized format. Thank you :good:

"Well, I can't argue with that - modding IS hard. But what would have become of games like Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Dungeon Siege, Half-Life 1-2, Neverwinter Nights and BfME 1-2 if we, modders, weren't there ? They would have long been forgotten. Modding is hard, but it's an honorable thing." - MorrisB

Lets see...

Nargothrond spies:
I agree with MB, the Elves already has many stealthed archers units. And it wouldn't fit into this mod, because it is Nargothrond, which was destroyed in the 1st age.

New towers:
No, it won't happend. The Elves doesn't focus on large defences, but on stealthy attacks.

Boldog:
That spear thing seems like a good idea, but the power should (like MB said) be spearthrow, some sort of powerfull attack or a blade master kind of power.

Overall, nice ideas, but it is very hard to read, as it is not too organized, and as MB also said, move all your ideas to the first post.

Last, you can ask if you have any questions.

Like the way you combined "educated" and then mis-spelt "please" :good: lol jk
Instead of giving elves a better defensive structure because they lack wall upgrades, WOTE should update Isengard. Isengard is known for its giant metal machinery, and yet lack wall upgrades save a tower. In my opinion, they should have the tower which is buildable from the fortress as a wall upgrade. Could easily be done :p

its not my mod. re: Isengard wall structures. They were known for their hulking machinery, but in my opinion they shouldn't have walls at all, and here is why. Isengard fought one defensive battle in the entirty of LOTR and they actually had no walls protecting them, they only had a dam which was torn down, so that is why they should not even have walls at all.

pretty sparse though, and they don't even look like the ones in the games, they are actually men of the west walls, since Isengard was built by the Numenorians

Further analyzing coming in...

Summon the Middle-Men: silly and unneccesary. The MotW faction has enough unit-summoning spells already. Plus, why would the people of Esgaroth and Dale come to Gondor's aid, especially when considering that:

A) Esgaroth has no real military force except for the Town Watch (which has no duty apart from defending Esgaroth)
B) Dale (and Erebor) has its own trouble during the War of the Ring.á

Shelob: YES, she is already on Mordor's side (see the latest Beta release).

Shadows of Numenor: Sorry, but NO. You know what ? Me and Elendil, too have suggested this before, but Ithron said Angmar already has enough cavalry (White Wolves, Snow Trolls, Frost Drake, Gundabad Wolf Riders...). And I fear Ithron is right.

Not sure if this is 100% correct, but where else did you see the Mordor Guardians except in Cirith Ungol? Since when did Elves have a wall hub that fires out the flood of the brunine? (spelling? :p) The game isn't 100% accurate, so it isn't too far-fetched for Isengard to have the towers from the fortress on the walls.

yes, i am just not a fan of evil factions having walls.
sorry about the stupid ideas i posted yesterday. Was in quite the haze.

I personally think it is a better unit than the white wolves dont you?

Yeah, I myself think horse-riding black numenoreans would be better than white wolves (Angmar shouldn't be THAT focused on beasts), but it just seems Ithron likes wolves

If ANYONE could persuade him to use black numenorean horsemen instead of White Wolves and/or Frost Drake, I would be most grateful :p

I don't like Wolves THAT much, but since the White Wolves were made in early stages of the mod, and I didn't want to leave them out when Goblins were removed, so I moved them to Angmar... Maybe I will make those horsemen, only time will tell...
