have one new idea posted, in the rough stages, but has potential to be pretty solid.
I too think that Angmar is a little to beast oriented, while it is a nice change up from the orc and uruk orientated evil factions(note i count goblins under orc's because that is what they technically are), orcs are hardly part of it and the black numenorians should have a bigger role. I know that most of the goblin faction will be given to angmar and this solves the orc issue, but still the black numenorians should have a bigger role...
this is where the shadows of numenor come in. *Still need a better name*

Switching between pikes and bows... hmm that doesn't really work. Spears like the elven spear blades would work, but pikes are big and cumbersome.

i just meant by pikes, any weapon strong against cavalry.

Well...
Noldorin Marshals: While I find the idea nice, these guys should be more fitting as a Hero Horde (replacing Noldorin Warriors) or as single units those can provide some Leadership/buffing backup rather than a "simple" battalion IMO.

"Well, I can't argue with that - modding IS hard. But what would have become of games like Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Dungeon Siege, Half-Life 1-2, Neverwinter Nights and BfME 1-2 if we, modders, weren't there ? They would have long been forgotten. Modding is hard, but it's an honorable thing." - MorrisB

i realized when i made this unit it would be to powerful for a normal horde, perhaps just making it a 2x3 formation and giving them some powers but not endowing them with full hero unit status.
and also i find the noldorin warriors rendered ineffective in this mod as one may use the galadhrim warriors to the same end, build more of them, and besides the powers they are nearly as effective. so i think this would be a nice change to the hero unit structure

Nice, but what's with the barbarian elf idea?

its just ment to be primitive, like avari. Which tolkien himself described as primitive. They are still fair, just more primitive and fierce.
