And the Empire kept on slamming me with a soverign executor combo, so i made it so they can only make one of each.

The building restrictions were kind of annoying ( i removed them) but aside from that there were alot of improvements

Im trying to download the patch and it says I dont have permission to access the file. I have an account and all so I dont know what to do

Allrighty,

I dont know what is happening but it seem AI got stuck on upgrade thingy. It wont upgrade any ships. I am getting rushed with Venator 1 and ISD I ships.
Reinstalled the ai mod but still same result. Any ideas?

And i am not sure if it got changed at some point but at hard difficulty, only thing that AI gets is faster money gain. Damage is same as in medium, at least according to XML file.

Well they upgrade for me... The money thing is to make them smarter. Try playing a while.

Have they attacked you? Their ugraded fleets are usally in there attack fleets.

Yeh, like i said. AI has been rushing me with ISD I and Venator 1 destroyers. I have seen 1 Praetor, but no other researchable ship.

Hmmm, it really seems like there is clitch somewhere in the code. Any info if Zarkis is updating the AI? Havent seen him posting lately.

Same here. It upgraded once in my games. That was quite a shock.

All my valuable fully upgraded Rebel fighters facing fully upgraded Lancers.....it was a short fight :D

The weirdest thing about that is the fact the rebel AI always throws Bulwarks and MC120s at me.. and it's getting a bit tedious sometimes..

What map you were playing? As on some of the maps almost all ships are researched from the start. Ai just dont upgrade them after that. So any info on Zarkis?

Hmm, like i wondered before, is is possible to use same script for upgrading ships than there is with stations?

Also, what file does the AI upgrade and research orders?

If its RebelAdvanceTechPlan.lua and EmpireAdvanceTechPlan.lua, then i know why AI dont upgrade ships. Those files only have basic ship research to unlock them and few upgrades written.

Guys, you can force the 'AI' to put more money into research by changing some values in the BasicInfratsructureGalacticSet.xml which is located in
...\\Phoenix_Rising_Space_3\Data\XML\AI\GoalFunctions. Look for this lines of code:

<Advance_Tech_Empire>
		<Goal>Advance_Tech_Empire</Goal>
		<Function>ONE</Function>
	</Advance_Tech_Empire>

	<Advance_Tech_Rebel>
		<Goal>Advance_Tech_Rebel</Goal>
		<Function>ONE</Function>
	</Advance_Tech_Rebel>

Now change ONE to MEDIUM. The AI will then put its infrastructure money primarily into research, so it will build less other stuff. Try it out, but keep in mind that even with this change research is slow.

Thanks a lot for the info Zarkis.
You know the other parameters to use in there? Like is there one that AI uses about half the money for research and half for ship building. Or is that too complicated to accomplish just by file editing?

And as the ships cost pretty much and research even more i think some planet income editing is in place. ---> I know how to do that :xd:

Yes, but in the meanwhile and after some testing I don't think it solves the problem. Its the buying behavior of the AI. It prefers certain ships and the bigger the better.
