Anywho, amuro DOES have the best ranged stat. So it does make the Turn A's combination attack ridiculously godly powerful. The single most widespread musou in the whole game...but not good against aces surprisingly. This is because the nuke's damage per target is the same according to the distance from the center of the explosion, but even at the center, the nuke only knocks off about 1/2 the hp off an ace from extra missions ( the ones with highest difficulty and compulsory hard setting), even considering that i have the static shock skill to give extra damage and amuro lvl 50 as a pilot. Id like to point out that its nearly useless in extra missions as no ace will not guard against this at that difficulty setting unless powered down.
Some musuos that beat this (at least in ace killing, nuke definitely wins in the grunt killing department) are all of the quebeley's air musuo (with sniper and ranged specialist pilot) which for some reason is better than even wings of light and moonlight butterfly, S. freedom's combination musuo (yes, im not joking, freedom is really buffed in this game, much as some of us might hate it...again with sniper and ranged specialist pilot, best is kira, since this musuo is primarily ranged but also has melee hence is a good idea to have someone with a god ranged stat and good melee stat).So far the best Melee musuo ive found is musuo gundam mkII, but overall i find melee musuos are quite lacking. All of these are assuming optimal ms parts equipped.
Character rankings...Amuro has best ranged, kira i consider a substitute because he loses to him by one point, minuscule, char surprisingly does not have the best melee or second, though obviously 1st place is shared by master asia and domon. Loran has best defense. Combine with Turn A (best MS in both defense and armor) and the armor gain upgrade to become invincible. Best MS...defense and armor Turn A, ranged is (no joke) S. freedom and haman's quebely, as well as one non-grunt ms, cant remember. I think guncannon. Best melee...God and Master, hands down. Best thruster, puru's quebely. Forgot mobility.
My best MS, in descending order: Quebely (all variants), S. freedom, Turn A, Nu gundam. Reasons, quebely all have excellent air musous, but the real value is in the fast combos, a guard break at charge attk 3 (sadly puru 2's does not have this) and a charge 6 that just about 1hit-ko's aces at close range with penta drive. I still think this is not intentional, but the beams in charge 6 overlap so much that its the most damaging non-musuo attk. Tactic vs aces is...charge 6. Its so powerful its not even funny.
S. freedom for high dmg in all ranged charge attks, room clearing charge 6, guard break at charge 3, awesome air musuo dmg, insane combi musuo dmg. Best tatic with aces equip hexa drive, use charge 5 continue with air combo end with air musou before enemy hits the dirt.
Note that for both quebely and freedom, dont use the ground musou. They just suck in dmg, and quebely's even has tracking problems.
Turn A, for highest def, highest armor, add armor gain to never die again. One of the few Ms that can safely equip DG cells without fear of being 1hit-ko'ed. Moonlight butterfly is nice, but nuke is priceless, get the combi attk always on skill for this. Tactic vs aces, even though its not the best, the nuke musuo is still one of the best. Power down the enemy suit via combos or duel clashing then unload nuke.
Nu gundam, good melee awesome ranged dmg, excellent musuos, but there are other ms i can say the same of. The shiner is charge 6, which at extreme close range will usually 1or2hit-ko an ace, and even if that fails, your invulnerable till u take a certain amt of dmg or run out of time. Awesome.
Best grunt: Ball. No joke.The bane of grunts are aces, so you want an ace killer. The answer is the ball. Melee musou that is one of the best beating even some gundams. Normal melee combo also cannot be recovered out from, so from the first hit, the ace is dead. Equip hard strike, instant hero skill, melee pilot, start melee combo, use musuo on last hit.
