I know that I haven't been able to get an official update out in a while, and by the looks of it, there won't be one for a little bit more time. This is for two different reasons. First, I'm really busy right now with school, and second, Helm's Deep is in constructing mode right now. :crazed: I've torn the map apart and am slowly making it into the ultimate Helm's Deep map. :p This being said, I've decided to give small little updates from time to time just to keep everyone informed with what's going on. So, here's my first small teaser:

Have you solved the problem of seige ladders and rescaled walls?

Hehe... haven't gotten around to testing that out yet but by the looks of it, it should be workable. :)

Nah, the skin is the same. I did, however edit the mapping of the taller walls to match the brick texture of the deeping wall. :D

yer i have been following up on your mod for some time now except never really bothered to say anything buy yeah good to see progress is being made "like the bombarders"

Anyways, that's awesome. It always bothered me that if the took the deeping they could just walk on over to the gate :crazed:

Whew :wink_new: Another small teaser for your enjoyment! I've been working on new Rohan shields for quite some time and re-did all the old ones as some were pretty bad. I now have 13 much better and more rohanish ones (two of them are shown in this teaser). :)

love and all, but I think the wannabe-Merry one (the right one) should've been on a "covered" shield... you know, the ones where you can't see the 'cracks' on the wood and all... and on a green one I would also suggest... :good: Like Merry's shield, only with your 'art' in it... :p

yeah dude.. I really like both of the new skins.. really well.. rohanish. But the wall is even better. Now Isengard won't be able to put it's ballista's on the wall (once it's breached) to schoot at my archers on the other wall? That was really the worst thing about helms deep. Great work here!

With the addition of the higher outer walls and removal of the staircase, I was able to connect the ramp to the outer wall piece. Took me a lot of trial and errors, but I finally got it working. :unsure:

Well in terms of the progress of the mod, I would like it to be going a little faster, but real life keeps geting in the way. :xcahik_: Also, I noticed that the screenshot I took above has a glowing door in it. That's EA's fault and I will fix it so it looks like a normal door again. Either that, or I may remove the doors on the second level as there is none in the movies. :evgr:
