From the readme changelist:
Redid(undid) MOTW civillian structure system. The AI can now build resource and upgrade structures normally. HOWEVER, the Market has been disabled in this release due to the extensive retooling of the building lists and in anticipation of the upcoming science system.

Gorkil and Drogoth added temporarily to Angmar heroes as placeholders until next release.

Various small balancing done amongst the factions, fixed numerous tooltip inconsistencies.

Siege weapons are now more effective against infantry as opposed to unrealistically ineffective.

All resource buildings now increase CP by 100 rather than 50.

Ring Heroes no longer visible on radial menu when you don't have the ring.

Bugs not fixed: Rhun barracks damaged models, Gondor Spearmen uvmaps, Galadhrim warriors stance and arrow bug, flying Dwarven citadel. I very recently managed to open and repair the Galadhrim arrow problem, so all these model issues should be completely resolved for next release.

Nothing earth-shatteringly special, but all major additions were being reserved for 4.0. The huge bugs like load/save and that pain in the ass where you have to click everywhere to target the enemy are still there, and I'm starting to think they really can't be undone, but more time will be spent perfecting Wote alongside all the new content for the next release. Try not to be too dissapointed with this update.

ImPoRtAnT nOtE: Since I don't have the game installed to the default path I couldn't change the path in the shortcut, you have to add a little 2 in there to update the referenced big file.

At least the people see we are indeed working on something :p just a question: how do you mean you "undid" MotW resource-system ? You moved the buildings to the main building menu or what (don't remember our discussion over it) ?

Apart from that, I'm really glad to see this. I can finally play at big :)

I'm gonna' update the FAQ topic with this.

"Well, I can't argue with that - modding IS hard. But what would have become of games like Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Dungeon Siege, Half-Life 1-2, Neverwinter Nights and BfME 1-2 if we, modders, weren't there ? They would have long been forgotten. Modding is hard, but it's an honorable thing." - MorrisB

Yes, the men's structures were moved over so the ai can play too.

And the doubled CP is quite nice.

Yup, he will appear in Beta 4, too - but not as you would expect*

*SPOILER: think about Gorkil's role in the WotE campaign concept !

I think I'll recruit some skinners/modelers soon so we can start working on Beta 4 right away.

Yes, that's only if you use the shortcut at all. Right click the shortcut and go to properties and in the first line it should have the game directory with the -mod referenced at the end. In that bigfile name change it to say wotebeta3bugfixed to say wotebeta32bugfixed.

I would have updated it but I got a 'no such directory exists' error because I installed it to a C:/Games directory.

Hey I tried to download the mod and I couldn't find the file...it just takes me to www.filefront.com. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Guess nothing. I think it is a problem provided by Filefront itself, putting stupid advertisements in the way and disturbing the links. I tried to search in every possible way for WotE, but no result. No wonder why I hate Filefront so much.

I'll alert Kyross and ask him to refresh the link ^_^

Sorry 'bout that guys, it's not a mistake. I just checked and the file has been removed for some reason. I did have some concern when I uploaded that putting Ithron in the description that they would assume I was uploading it without permission and remove it, but unless they got a complaint from someone they should have left it alone. I also haven't gotten any warning messages.

It could also be a database error. When i worked with them i was always getting emails about server downtimes and repairs. I'll reupload when I go home for lunch.

The difference is that with the specific game sites you have to wait for them to upload the file to the site, which even if they read the message right away would double the length of time it took to get up. Though I should try that later to get more people playing.

I was vice-administrator of swbf files for over a year and uploader even longer, and compared to what I've seen of subsites like lotrfiles they're largely staffed by almost completely inept noobs who only join to upload and review their own files. Besides how it might expand our audience I haven't been overly eager to hop over there.

Anywot, didn't have a chance to upload at lunch so am reuploading now.

I know that filefront and lotrfilefront is a piece of <using of such words on this forum is not allowed>, but these sites have the greatest publicity, so more people can find and enjoy the mod. They are often unreliable, but I'm not in the position to decide where to upload the stuff.

I remember that IthronAiwendil's links worked fine in the past, though... but where did he upload the link ? Gonna' do a lil' research on the case, and if possible, ask Kyross to upload the Beta there as well ;) I can't promise anything, but I'll try it.
