A while ago I announced that all of the Russian ground units where done! Well in typical Mig Eater fashion I’ve changed my mind on a few of them :p during beta testing some of the units became a bit repetitive so I changed a few to spice things up a bit. I also made the last two post-war naval units so the post-war soviets are pretty much done now except for defensive buildings.

Other big news is that the beta is actually working again, after months I finally tracked down a problem that was messing up the AI. This was the main reason for limited progress on the beta but now things are working again I can get back to adding units & gameplay testing, expect to see ingame pics from now on!

Now on to some pics...

Information on the R-11

There's some information on the actual missile, it's the first of the "Scud" missile's the USSR is famous for.

The Su-216 is just the launch vehicle for the missile, i couldn't find any specific information on it.

I often wonder where Mig get's all his source material from, i struggle to find material for some modern day equipment!

One general remarked that if his troops were given as much alcohol to as was used to fuel a single R-1 missile his troops could capture any town

potentially silly question, but the 621 submarine is a sort of troop transporter, no? how does it load and unload troops if it can't go on land like the RA2 hovercrafts? I know that in RA1 you had transport boats that loaded and unloaded on the shore but will it work with this game (just like we only have VTOL now unlike RA)? :p

Yeah it works, it uses tobeach tag or something similiar, initially they were gonna do with the transports like in those old betas screenshots.

Since Mig Eater is making new terrain and maps, should be no problem.

Yer as AG said I've redone the terrain so it will work the same as the naval transports in RA1
