Well, I decided I would finally sit down and power through all the tests (setting up a new living map region/territory - 8 .w3d files and all the coding with hours of tests:p) and it passed the test of a quick match.
So here are the regions/effects/etc. built from scratch based on a couple regions from BFME1. It's not really meant to be pretty, but just a test of what is possible. (The map's text layer can also be changed (the region borders/names). I still have to work out the borders for capitals, but it's minor.
So here we go:
So what does this mean? Basically I've got all the ins and outs of editing the living map, and it can be done as many times as needed, though a time consuming process. The non-linear campaigns can be custom, and we can have our own WotR, plus we can use the original one as well. Basically as many as we need (it is based by scenario). So I guess the next step is to break up the living world how we want to see it.
