Hey Players and Fans of S.E.E!

Great news! :D
A number of Freelancers have stepped in lately to give their hand (lance? hehe) for this production. One of them is Argolis, head of the epic mod Wars of Arda. What he did was dedicate a LOT of (boring) time into finding a major and very very sneaky bug in SEE, that allowed the game to be played - but only as a "Folder mod", and not a ".Big mod". This means that:
  • We can now use the SEE items in WorldBuilder without crashes or weird behavior by using the same system as other, with proxy .big files, containing the SEE stuff!
  • We can release the mod as a .Big mod!
  • We can probably use an Installer more easily!
  • We MIGHT solve the dreadful Saved Games crash!
A very good step in the progress of S.E.E. This time all thanks to Argolis! ;)

However I dont understand a word of the first "This means that", its great news!!! :D
The race of Men is failing, the blood of Númenor is all but spent – its pride and dignity forgotten… It is because of Men the Ring survives.

A double referal to #include "..\CreateAHeroGameData.inc"
And the removal of the GameData.ini
Plus an error in Experiencelevels, but we haven't located that one yet. I will probably redo that ini... Atm I have to exclude it from the _SEE.big to be able to load WB. But we're getting there :D

Shouldn't be any problem now... I am working on this right now, and slowly following Argolis instructions. It should work :D It's just that I'm sick atm for the first time in years and even more slow than I usually am when modding, lol

That's great!

also, since you can use it okay with WB now, does that mean some more headway is being made in the Rhun fortress problem?

Well not really, I still don't know how to SET UP the Edit Teams in WorldBuilder :D But others do...
Rad, Elrond99, Argolis... someone should be able to do it for me ;)

But this is still a step in the right direction. The less bugs we have, the more stable the mod will be :D

Does this mean that whatever problem you were having with the Rhun fortress is fixed?

Yeah I know he did, I'm just so excited that the .big file problem - which has BEEN a problem since I started stalking back before 4.5 - is finally solved.

Again, awesome job

:p um i dont know if this is solved already but if it is inapropriate for this topic move it to the saved games bug and delete it if the problem is solved. the way to avoid the bug is not using Create-A-Hero. i tested this many times at Helms Deep with a ton of units and at Minas TIrith with tons of units as well. This is just a helpful tip if not already stated :shiftee: but otherwise converting it to a .BIG will be awsome! :crazed: :good:

i think most of us knew that. :good: what we are hoping is since this bug has been found and fixed, we can start using CAHs again.
