I saw this and think it's the problem:Got a new hero bug.
I raided a planet with Garm Bel Iblis and 2 infantry companies.
Instead of Garm's monster vehicle, I got 35 infantry units instead!!!! (and when I clicked the Garm Icon in the panel all 35 infantry units lit up)
A nice surprise to be sure, but not really right!

If we want to keep the Gargantuan, I'm not sure if that tag is working so well to throw in those extra troopers. Is there a land escort tag that we could use maybe?

I've also been modifying the campaign files for the GFFA GC and I have removed all units except heroes and space/ground defenses. So far the campaign runs as smoothly as any other campaign, saves and loads up as normal so I think it confirms that its just the huge amounts of units.

I've been looking for the cause of this here and there, but haven't found it yet.I'd just like to confirm that Republic Class research is indeed bugged. Gives a ship with the caption of the research, and no ability to build the republic class itself :(
If anyone knows where the v1.0 bug-fix thread went, it might help, because I think I remember there being this problem with a ship class in v1.0 as well, and that would give me an indicator on where to look.
EDIT: If someone wants to help out a bit, as I'm really tired, can hardly see right now, and probably won't wake up until like one to two in the afternoon, that someone can try commenting out lines 6282 to 6309 in Tech_Tree_Rebel.xml and post the results of the change, pertaining to the Republic-class research.

Its a description error. The change in how far the turbolasers fire is greatly enhanced. Be scared of the Golans now!!!That might just be a description error; they are supposed to be equipped with heavies, but weren't in earlier versions.

I despise the Rebels so I won't test them but I will check other campaigns including GFFA if asked as the Empire.

Thanks for the info. Mainly we need to look at upgrade-able heroes on any campaign. I'm not suggesting you play separate campaigns just to look for this stuff, just let me know if you come across anything.He is the only clone-able hero on the Thrawn campaign from my testing as the Empire if that helps, I tested Thrawn, Mara Jade, Joruus C'baoth (as Obi-wan), Pellaeon himself and Veers - please let me know if there are anymore heroes for this campaign and I will check them.
I despise the Rebels so I won't test them but I will check other campaigns including GFFA if asked as the Empire.

If anyone else can help out looking into why Pellaeon is the only clone-able hero (At least so far as we know right now), that would be great. I've looked at and compared the coding, and the only difference that I could find was the upgrade coding compared against Wedge's, but Wedge seems to be the odd-man-out of all the heroes when it comes to that phrase, and as far as I can tell, it should work both ways anyway.

Conducted raid on Kalist VI with Kam Solusar three times and crash occurred each time. Don't see any particular reason why or when.
Raiding party composition:
1st and 2nd time:

3rd time:
Kam Solusar
2x AT-AT unit
1x Stormtrooper units

Another bug - Dodonna actually gives bonus to health and shields of only first Republic class destroyer, not the entire line. I'll post the appriopriate code in the bugfixes section
