happy new year everybody,

i have some questions about new fortress in base.ini

i want to create a new fortress for a faction. i need the rohan castle of bfmeI. (can´t find the rohan castle in that ini)

when i change the default castles (any factions) in the base.ini, the game starts without fortress.

only the starting units are available and the game shows me the lost screen in approxymately 10 seconds.

i dont understand this error.

i hope, someone could help me...

regards,
rhcurly

The thing that rohan uses as the 'castle' is the golden hall :evgr:
If you download the RC Mod you could use these files (though you should give credit):
\data\ini\object\goodfaction\structures\rohan\goldenhall.ini
and
\bases\goldenhall_rohan\goldenhall_rohan.bse

BUT if you wish to do things like this in the future there is a tutorial on this on the main site:
http://www.the3rdage...item-65?addview

This one works for BFME 2 and ROTWK but in those you do not need to edit the civilian structure ini thing :D
The most important part for the 'fortress' is the BSE file which your fort 'unpacks' ;)

Holes in walls? What holes? What walls?
Do you mean it looks like your structure is damaged?

You have to add a "CastleMemberBehavior" in the wall.ini :evgr:

Some of the objects defined in the BSE file may have been renamed with obsolete or something like that, i suggest you start looking there :evgr:

ok, my standard rohan_castle_keep works well!

but how can i change a existing *bse file?

i want to make some changes in the rohan_castle_nw.bse - file.

but when i made some changes in worlbuilder in the .bse - file, the "new" rohan_castle doesn´t appears!

for test and for example, i added an additional buildplot in the castle, define it as INSIDE BASE and define it as rohan player.

but it doesn´t work and doesn´t appear. i have lost the game in 5 sec.

whats wrong?

yes, the name were the same!

1. unpack the the base archive
2. open the castle_rohannw in wb
3. make some changes in this .bse file, add some things and so one
4. take the modified .bse file with the same name (castle_rohannw) in the base directory, overwright the file (before i made a backup)
5. open the playertemplate.ini and change the startingbuilding=castle_rohannw
6. start the game in a modified single player map (with buildplots and a script for base building and money 6000)
7. the game starts, the starting units appears, the base flag disappears
8. About 2 seconds, the base flag appears and i have lost the game.
9. ???

see now you cant start with a BSE file!
You need to have the start building UNPACK the BSE file :p
look in the rohan golden hall code or whatever fortress you are using for them :shiftee:
