SOME BASICS:

- S.E.E. is a SKIRMISH mod only! (So far...)
- Campaign WILL be included for Beta 4.9!
- WotR is most unlikely to ever be included in SEE!

I am just curious here, I downloaded the mod and I absolutly love it, that is the first thing I have to say! Second, since you are talking about the campaign here, what are you going to do? The campaign from the movie I supposse? For good AND evil? I absolutly thought it was a big drawback when ea decided to make a whole new campaign and forget the movies in there. So I hope you are going to do that. Maybe it would be fun to include the hobbit story as well? Though ofcourse that movie isn't out yet, if it even ever comes :) . Also, how long for you guys does it take to go to the next level? You know, I mean from beta 4.5 to 4.7 to 4.9 and so on. Then I know how often I should look on the site when the new version is out!

That's good. Are you going to make the Evil campaign an alternate ending? That would be interesting to see "what if Frodo failed?" done the right way

That's sad. Because I was playing the RJ mod and it got me realizing that War of the Ring mode (and living world map) can be done properly. I would like to instead see an improved WotR set up according to the books and movies.

The mod still looks excellent, though :xcahik_:

A lot of the creators of this mod don't work on it anymore due to the new Pelenopian Wars mod for BFME2. I believe this mod is dead. :(

Wait, what? The Peloponnesian Wars mod has nothing to do with the lack of progress on this mod. ;)

I know that SEE does have to rebuild from scratch in many ways, but I think the War of the Ring would be a lot more interesting given this mod's emphasis on stronger buildings. With vanilla BFME's game mechanics and paper mache buildings, this game mode had little attraction. It seems a lot simpler to implement than a campaign, also, as WotR is basically a series of linked skirmish games, while a completely new campaign is a pretty daunting task (one which I think no mod has ever followed through with).

For me its not possible, to go on with the Campaign. The settings for me are on Difficult and I cant beat the ships with my nazguls at all....The costs of a battleship are too high, cant take all these enemy ships out. :S Any guesses and tips for my evil campaign???

SEE doesnt support WotR or Campaign. We will hopefully do a new campaign when the skirmish mod is done. WotR wont ever be supported though. It's a completely different game, in the game,

Don't worry Nuramon, I was having the same issue, maybe it would be possible to go into the 'ini' of the elven transport ship and make the health very low?

are the small issues not fixable yet in the campaing so we can redoo it with the new units and buildings in the campaing? makes me sad cause i love the good campaign and as how far as i can go in the story SEE is a really big step in the right direction!

I don't think the issues are small. Typically when making a mod you have to constantly test and ensure everything you change still functions in the campaign. When a mod is made for a long time without any consideration for the campaign there often are many things that will break it. To make campaign playable would likely require significant "reverse engineering" of the mod to iron out everything that causes incompatibilities.

Since the mod is being remade from the ground up with this new version, I doubt anybody will even care to tackle the massive endeavor that would be fixing the campaign.

So iff we get to that stage, it would be a completely new campaign, not similar to the non-lore and non-movies campaign. That's probably why the campaign is not part of testing, while the factions are being made.

Like Kwen said, it's a completely different project, so the most important thing is to get all factions in game and updated to SEE dc status. After that, I need to gather new talent to code the campaign with all the scripting etc that's required. IF we do campaign, it will be movie based. I'm thinking one Hobbit style campaign and one LotR campaign, with respective evil counterparts.
