Gandalf and Saruman
I had this vision last time, Gandalf and Saruman fighting together against either the good or evil
I know this ain't based on the real story
But, Saruman and Gandalf were once in the same Istari Council

Now, let us see this scene, where Gandalf goes to Saruman..
In the book/film Gandalf disagrees with the decision of Saruman

Now, let your imagination go on within that scene...
Imagine Saruman could convince Gandalf to join him...
or Imagine Gandalf pretending Saruman from joining Mordor's side

Its result would be a cool combination of 2 strong sorcerers!
This would be cool in my opinion...

My vision of this inside BFME2 SEE:
When you go to gamerules, you can set Saruman and Gandalf together in one faction, either men or Isengard(or original state)
(Optional)A 7th faction or subfaction, containing the Istari, Gandalf, Saruman And.... Radagast!

Create A Hero
-I believe that attackspeed should be added to the list for Custom heroes
-Furthermore, certain type of heroes, should do damage to more units at once, instead of one on one
-A goblin hero is missing in my opinion

The sorcerers
Saruman, Gandalf, Galadriel..
Strong and feared sorcerers, I wonder why they get killed so easily/fast
They can do 1 attack in like 1 min, and then it is a timebomb till death

Suggestions:
Reduced time to certain spells
A spell which aims for only a small radius perhaps, and damages all within, with very fast recovery time(7 seconds)
Make Gandalf more resistant against Fire, after all he defeated or will defeat Fire and Flames(Balrog), and he is bearer of the flame of Udin
Gandalf should be stronger, he knows how to master his staff and his sword at the same time..
Gandalf should be able to cause fear among the Nazgûls with his light

Elite Heroes?
I had this idea of Elite Heroes, which would acquire some sort of mission to get...
Mordor - Sauron: Always trainable, but 100-150% stronger with the ring, Leadership;+50% attackbonus
Elves - Galadriel: Always trainable, but 100-150% stronger with the ring, Leadership;+100% armorbonus
Men of the west - Gandalf: He starts as the grey for 5000 resources, with certain spells, when a balrog appears, he gets a permanent 75% increase to damage.. Further more, whenever he 'dies', he will return as Gandalf the White, having new powers, and a adittional 100% increase to attack, the cost of this reviving should be about 7000
Dwarves - ?: I don't know, perhaps Balin, strong against dragons, which would require the power of the ring to revive him
Moria - The Balrog or Smaug: Requires the ring, and can only be trained in a new 'building, which would look like a huge pit, the power of this ring is used to revive Smaug from his death alot earlier, or the power of the ring is used to call the Balrog of Morgoth
Isengard - Saruman: With a fully upgraded fortress nearby, Saruman can use his spells with 80-90% less countdown time, he is now called, Saruman the many colored.
Saruman can also enter his fortress and use his coerse anywhere on the map, this coerce function would not apply if the fortress is attacked

Random Suggestions
I am missing the influences of the numenorians, the influence of Elendil etc...

Gandalf and Saruman
Well, that's an interesting idea that you could implement in your own personal version of SEE.

Create A Hero
-I don't think it's possible to add another line to the list. It could replace heal-rate, though.
-Yes, perhaps for the dwarf and troll.
-Actually, Goblin is just another name for Orc, so there is already a Goblin CaH. There is an Orc/Goblin one, and an Uruk/Hobgoblin one.

The sorcerers
I agree with you there. I think Gandalf at least should have a magic bubble shield like in bfme1. I don't know if they have improved this for SEE.

Suggestions:

I don't know about the spells, but I agree on Gandalf. He really should have a fireball power, too. He uses fire-related magic (with a blue flame) many times in the story, more than any lightning bolt or wizard blast powers. Its too bad that he's out of slots, but A fireball could replace his wizard blast, maybe.

Elite Heroes?
Well, I don't know about Sauron without the ring, and that stuff, but I like the concept. I actually thought of this myself. Many of the factions have a character who is very strong, and they are all about the same strength. Glorfindel, Gandalf and a Balrog all have about the same amount of power (Gandalf the Grey and Glorfindel both killed a Balrog but died in the process.) Saruman should be stronger than Gandalf the Grey, but weaker than the White. The Witch-king is probably also pretty close to this. The Dwarves could have Radagast, who is probably pretty strong, though not as powerful as Gandalf the Grey. Galadriel and Sauron are really too strong compared to the rest of them, though.

Random Suggestions
Hmmm... I don't really know how to fix this.
Greetings, community.

I wish I knew how to, but I know nothing about coding and so on

Made up also another idea concerning CAH
The orcs, uruk and men(west) can't wield a bow, I found that disturbing, now I need an elf whenever I play with men of the west or an haradrim when playing with Isengard

- Gandalf and Saruman will not be united in SEE
- CaH will not be expanded, rather removed
- Some think heroes are too strong already, and you want them stronger? :p Don't worry though... Balance is not done yet. Wizards WILL be strong!
- Hero pwers will be more useful and have faster reload, yes

In some aspect I can agree about heroes being too strong, yet the heroes were strong and remarkable
I've read the thread about proposals, someone complaining that it takes 20000 arrows to kill Aragorn, yet those orcs or w/e shooting aren't very skilled in doing so, unlike Lurtz who has alot higher Acurracy, therefor alot arrows are missing...

Projectiles like boulders, are easily seen, and can be avoided, note Gothmog avoiding a boulder at Minas Tirith in the movie
In some sort of way that is realistic
It's alot easier to hit an entire batalion instead of 1 single unit

These heroes trained their entire life on decent skills while their enemies just got given a sword and a shield..
Therefor it is realistic that one hero can kill one normal batallion

I believe that some factions have to many heroes and some too few
Mordor for example has too many heroes, and the nazgul's are too strong, 2 Nazguls are enough to defeat Aragorn, yet it was Aragorn who stood his ground against 5 on weathertop
Suggestion: Make the nazgul elite units instead of heroes, with a decreased attack and armor and cost ofcourse

The elves also have too many heroes; Arwen never was in any war, why should she be now? Same for Celeborn and Galadriel, keep the amount of elven heroes short to Elrond, Glorfindel, Legolas, Thranduil and Haldir
The dwarves on the other hand, need another hero, perhaps Radagast?

It can also be an idea which I read on some forum, to add the two blue wizards to MotE

Perhaps it is an idea to split Rohan from Gondor? Adding the son of Theoden to Rohan

The idea of a Gandalf + Saruman mission is interesting, but didn't happen.
What did happen is the White Council's assault on Dol Guldur during the events of The Hobbit. Remember how Gandalf had to leave the Dwarves to deal with more "pressing business"?
Now that would be a mission and a half. Gandalf, Saruman, Glorfindel, Radagast (?), Elrond, Galadriel and Celeborn fighting together to take down a whole fortress map on their own. Which, of course, would be heavily guarded by elite orc units, all nine Nazgul, and Sauron himself as the Necromancer.

I'd keep the Elven heroes the way they are... but Galadriel is too slow and does too little damage. I'd rather have her a bit stronger and faster, but more expensive.
This is my idea for a new ring system...
You find the ring, and take it back to your fortress. After having built your faction's ring hero (which can be done at any time; it's Galadriel for the Elves, Gandalf, Boromir or Aragorn for Men, Saruman for Isengard, the Great Goblin for the Goblins, a weaker Sauron for Mordor and King Brand for the Dwarves), they can take the Ring from the fortress and wield it, gaining special meta damage, extra damage against buildings, more health and speed and new powers.

It has got a nice ring to it. :p It's been a while since the last time i even thought about how the One Ring should actually activate, so i am not sure what the last thing was we wanted to establish. I sure like the idea of a simple Hero-boost and/or SpellPower.

About uniting Saruman and Gandalf: are you kidding? Outside of a well scripted 'adventure' i don't see them working together. This mod is about the War Of The Ring. And who are the ones trying to kill each other to find it first? Right. :p

And about the elven heroes: They sure need a rework. Galadriel is a bit strange to play (weak?). Celeborn is still a clone of Elrond. Someone had the idea of making the two a Hero Team. That could do the trick of making them unique and somewhat useful.

Celeborn a clone of Elrond??? Are you crazy? This is not Star Wars(thank the heavens it's not!), or Conquest whit Grunts all looking the same!

I resent that - Star Wars is cool ;) :p

And from what I've seen, I don't think the SEE is a CAH mod - realism and fan geekage seem to be their goal :p

The Dark is patient...

The Dark is generous...

And it always wins...

But in the heart of its power lies weakness...

It takes but a single candle to hold it back...

Love is more then a candle...

Love can ignite the stars.

understand that SEE isn't a CaH mod. but hey, CaH really adds more fun into the game. playing as someone who is truely you. you create the hero, you play as the hero. hope you get where im getting this too.

CaH adds the dash of personalisation and customisation into the game, and CaH is something which many games do not have. SEE is great because it adds to the gameplay of the original game, but CaH really makes BFME2. So since SEE is a mod of BFME2, i really don't think that CaH should be removed. perhapes expand CaH after the the evil men and include the expanded version in the next release?

CaH is great and i enjoy it. i think many others enjoy CaH too.

No you can't nerf the Nazgul! I agree they are strong as it Mordor but still this is only mod where I feel like Nazgul are actually good! Whenever mordor loses harad and Mumakil we will need their heroes badly!

Nazgûls will remain strong, and their only weakness basically, will be against Fire and Magic. But let's not make this into a private thread. Suggestions still belong in the faction threads :thumbsupsmiley:
