Well, I would, except for the tiny fact that I don't have anything to vent my anger on....

Wait a minute, did I type that correct? I don't have ANYTHING to be angry about?
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

*opens todays paper*

Yep, people wanted a schadeclaim for the damage they got when watching the aanslag on the Dutch queen on koninginnedag. FFS, een schadeclaim voor tv-beelden van leed van anderen!

Hahaha, yeah I read that too. For a second I was amazed, then I was angry, then I shrugged it off and felt my belief in the inherent stupidity of mankind solidify even more.

Things you're slightly annoyed about? I find there's more to be sad about than angry about.

QFTT

Have you seen the interview with a (turkish) father whose daughter had a scratch on her forehead and wasn't attended to fast after the crash of the airplane near Schiphol?
I must not be allowed to say this, but he was an *asshole*. People were close to dying or had broken limbs and his daughter who survived with some scratches wasn't priority. People have become spoiled brats by the society.

I don't think any of those people are genuinely bothered, they just want the money :)
They're not spoiled...just greedy bastards.

Ah, you're right.
I was confused with TV shows about cars.

*Please explain, Tara...*
Okay, I will. That people are interested in the horsepower of cars and start comparing them, giving marks etc. shows to me that people have become spoiled. The society does everything for them, and thus they've got the time to compare stupid things like vehicles.

Though my English fails me again, I believe I've said what i wanted to say.

You're saying that society has reached such a level of decadence that we can compare tiny differences in machines that are far more powerful than we could possibly need, and that people can make a living out of that? To be honest, the moment 'entertainment' became a valid career choice we became a thoroughly spoiled race.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

There's a fashion industry for dogs. I'd say we were pretty much spoiled the moment we started branching out from saddles on horses.

Well there's nothing wrong with entertainment being a career choice. After all, we live to be happy, not just to survive. It's just that we shouldn't descend to stupid things below our level of intelligence, like worshipping Paris Hilton-esque figures, because that's not just entertainment but also a bad influence, hence lowering our chances of survival.

Below our level of intelligence? Haha.
