need help in war of the ring

hi guys ^^

first: i would like to thank ridder geel about the invisibilty code thank u very much

second: in "war of the ring" i want to add gimli to the men fortress but i dont know wich ini file i must edit

also i want elrond have galdrial's effect (that white circle arround her)
and lurtz have the shadow effect (that dark shadows )but i dont know where i can find this code


any help will be appreciative

You need to edit the files in the livingworld folder... I believe its called campaign or something like that, in the folder i am talking about in "data\ini\?livingworld?\" you should find some file named Riskcampaign.ini :p
In the Common folder in that folder there are starting units and other files in which you can change those things...
I cant be more specific because im currently not at home, i will be home on friday so if needed i can help even more :facepalm:

the fx's can be found in the defaultmodelcondition, or other model conditionstates :facepalm:
...again i cant post the code... but you can find it easily :facepalm:

Ridder method for WOR is the the best way to go but a Cheating way would be

Put in playertemplatefile

CODE
StartingUnitTacticalWOTR = DwarvenPorter ;// This unit is placed in tactical mode when playing WOTR. Add multiple lines for multiple units.
StartingUnitTacticalWOTR = DwarvenGimli
StartingUnitTacticalWOTR = DwarvenPorter
StartingUnitTacticalWOTR = ANY_OTHER_HERO


You start with him like the 2 porters
You can add a Horde or two as well

ok i found the effects under DefaultModelConditionState as ridder geel said and its work perfectly
but i didnt found what i need in livingworld.ini
i als paste the jus sauron's code but didnt work still gimili not appearing in the elves fortress

No its in the common folder in some folder in the INI folder :p In that folder you should be able to see the riskcampaign.ini, if you see that file then you are in the correct folder :p

ok i found the ini files and adding all gimili codes from dwarves to elves but i still cant see him at the fortress
however iam a new member , i think ridder geel is the master of coding

Add to the playertemplate file UNDER THE ELVES SECTION :

Sorry I have not done much WOTR modding ,
A bit Off the Main Topic and I don't want to interrupt your problem but instead of posting
I was wondering if any one knew how to retain units after a WOTR battle like BFME1

Just to be clear... you want:
-Gimli revivable at the fortress
-Gimli as starting unit or gimli as a army that can join some other army?

yep i want gimili as start unit like aragorn and buildable in the fortress i tried to copy/paste all gimili codes from dwarves to men of the west but it didnt work
