Forgive me if I'm wrong, but on the last pic, are the added bits just 2d and have no structure? Just a minor quibble, it's great otherwise.

Oh. Well. That's quite amazingly brilliantly exhilaratingly unfathomably alright.
No, really, I love the newer model.

One last thing to change would be the walkways.
They are a bit wide compared to the corners unless the corners are impassable?
I'm also thinking that the corner pieces and gatehouse could use something a banner on the top or a small roofed hatch thingy (not sure what they are called but a those things on the roof with windows and a roof).
Vaguely like this thing.

Compared to the corners? Compare the first updated shot with the second one, the walkways aren't integrated into the walls. The corners aren't walkable because no walkways are near them.

Yeah, that's looking much better! The width of those walkways is fine i think, but something about the way they sort of just end at the corners is bugging me. How would it look if you continued those walkways around the inside of those three corners (but not the gatehouse)?

Thanks. I had them run all round the fortress, but it became too crowded. There aren't any props in that render, but there will be in-game, and it'd obstruct. The walkways are going to be an upgrade, so they don't need to be as useful as regular walkable walls are. It'd also get in the way of other wall upgrades I'm planning.

Yeah, but I wanted to keep in line with the book's description of a silver doe appearing in Mirkwood.

The castle and associated components are rockin'. Really enjoying how they look in that last render!

I'm not too fond of Radagast's overly stretched beard; couldn't you have had a seperate bone for it, so it doesn't look so strange?

I do feel the need to point out how much of a bitch it will be to make those ramps and bits work right :p
