I've always wondered why you chose the same general tactics that ZH has. Is it just because it's easier? Why not use tactics that fit the factions like AG was trying to do? Or is just because that it's what your used to in ZH? :dry:

What else would you suggest?
Please, if you see a mistake in my posts - spelling, grammar, punctuation, or whatever else - point it out. How can one learn from mistakes, if one is not corrected?

Well for a personal mod I making I could suggest alot:
Bold are the ones I chose

Allied
Airforce
Prism (or laser)
Chrono

Naval
Missile
Infantry
High Technology (EMP basis with other stuff like Mind control immunity devices and stuff)
Robotics

Soviet
Infantry (although this one is just in relation to ZH, Soviets don't focus too much on infantry)
Tank
Nuke

Explosives
Tesla
Flak (not very prevailant but could be a "specialty")

Yuri
Psychic
Genetics

Chemicals(like virus gas and choas not genetic mutation)
Stealth
Laser/Railgun (more like in MO with railguns, they seem to fit with yuri real well, although I wouldn't make a public mod with it to be original)
Guerrilla Warfare

I liked the idea of Salvage were instead of promotions on some units they'd use upgrades instead like a Laser Tank would get 2 barrels or something along those lines

A Chrono General is too unwieldy to effectively be a general and Geno did pretty much everything you've said, as did AG really. I'm not sure what ideas you have over his, except Geno does fit the sides well with his generals.

I'm the only odd man out having an Allied Infantry General. :lol:

Well its also good to have an allied infantry general... anyway, my mod will not have chrono general...

Well I was more asking why those generals, is it just because of ZH or because of balance reasons. Yeah I guess Chrono is a bit too much but my mod is just to be amused by not really to be balanced. Kinda like C&C Retarded except not that unbalanced. Personally if it weren't for China having infantry Russia would be the last team to add infantry general to. Yeah most of those I just remember randomly I know AG did some and the others I beleive Geno did a while back.

P.S. don't you think an EMP cannon is a little on the rediculous side, I mean a couple of those and a tank column would be stopped in their tracks, like 20 apocs gone!

Depends on the area of effect of the projectile, the firing speed, and the duration of the effect. I believe that EMP cannons could be balanced.

It would force people to use infantry and aircraft, not to spam 9999999999999 Rhino Heavy Tank's or Apocalypse Tank's. Further, you could use that underused things called artillery, like Prism Tank's and V3's. And before someone says: But if the enemy has Pillboxes and Patriot Missiles and Prism Tower's and EMP Cannon's you can't attack his base! Well, that would be the same without an EMP Cannon, the only difference is that vehicles are more vulnerable (sort of).

Yeah, an emp cannon could be balanced but it seems more like just giving that to allies seems well... ive seen the Swatter, this one is pretty good so soviets are ok and then i look at the Magnetic coils, Yuri seems a little weak in that respect, the Magnetic coils could disable maybe one at a time so you would need like the same number of 'em as tanks. Really i talked like i was in favor too much of tank spam in my last post, really its more like it seems like an invincible wall to vehicles due to range, it's almost like the mod is saying "no vehicles", which shouldn't be so, with a low firing rate and little less range so artilllary can get 'em then i'm fine

And need, I do use prism tanks and v3s the Rhino tank I almost never use and apocs are for base defense usually, Tank spam is gay, but the EMP cannon could probably outrange all of the artillary, as far as i know the grand cannon does

last note: it seems like everybody is taking it offensivly, not offense intended just an answer for a question thats been bugging me.

EDIT: What is the Radar Dish going to do, Reveal map like Spy sat, Sense units actions like Psychic Sensor or something completly else?

I wasn't attacking you (to say it so, don't know what the right word would be), just poitning out that it would actually be good for balance. Although, it may never be built, only en masse when superweapons are turned on to turtle behind a mighty wall of Prism Tower's and EMP Cannon's. Still, it will have its uses and probably will be usefull. I don't think base defences should outrange any artillery (excluding the Grand Cannon, that is a country specific, and not really better then Prism Tower's (besides it range, but its damage and ROF are both worse)), but EMP Cannon's should have a relatively large range (like Tesla Coil's (or maybe charged up Tesla Coil's)). It's ROF is useless, and there's no point in discussing it. That is, if (and I don't see why not) it acts the same way as the EMP Tank in my mod. It will fire continualy on the target, and can switch to other targets just as fast, it thus has a ROF of 0 / 1 / any other low number. The damage states how long the targetted vehicle stays inactive after it is EMP'ed, but with 200 it only stays a second or 1 / 2 off line. So, if you can modify the ROF and if that works (I think not, but really, I wouldn't know, so), then you can also make it a slow firing weapon tht shuts down the target a long time, to prevent the player firing on all tanks every second (manually, of course).

you could knock off EMP Cannons using Allied Battleships, those things have badass range (i'm pretty sure EMP Cannons are built around 2x2 cells, so Battleships can hit them) if it's ROF is so low and it's ATK Range is high, it could be pointed as to a mini "General's Power" or something, that you can mass build (or limited?)
