What happend to this mod? Last update was 6 month ago! If you dont know how mutch that is, it is half year. I think it is kinda bad for a guy that does not do a TC or wont add new buildings.

How large is this mod going to be anyway? Are you doing your own robot storm? if so I will forget about this mod(becuse it will never get done)

Tell us how you are going to finish your fourth side, when there is no 3d artist for you?

BTW I hope I dont sound harsh or whiny, Its just that my english is bad

good luck *waits for anwser*

Indeed I have been a bit on a lazy side when it comes to posting updates on mod progress at forums. This however, doesn't mean that I haven't been working on the mod at all.

Project Phantom isn't indeed a TC as you pointed out. More like semi-TC, good example for that would be Allied General's Shattered Alliance mod which replaces a lot of original game content while still preserving some of original game elements.

Regarding the workload, there is no longer four sides to choose from, only three. I will soon be adjusting "Faction information" and "Storyline" threads accordingly with more information on factions. The reason why there are only three playable factions now was made because:

1: It reduces the amount of work needed, and
2: It helps in attempt of making every side more unique instead of them being just little differentiated clones of each other.

by "Finishing the 4th side" you likely mean how I am able to make new building GFX without help from 3D modeler. Most of Phantom structures currently use sort of "placeholder" structures, which don't look that shabby and out of a place to be honest. Most likely they are going to still use same graphics when mod is eventually being released unless someone with 3D-modeling skills takes interest on the project and lends out hand. There is fair enough of SHP's which can potentially be used in public modifications so this isn't as enormous problem as one could think.

What I would like however, would be someone with better 2D-graphics skills (Photoshop etc.) helping me with some GUI-related works like faction logos.

In conclusion. It's not dead, doing most of stuff myselves just takes a little time unfortunately. Thank for you taking interest in this project though  .

Relax man, the mod has infact been accelerated by sharing of stuff between me and Starkku and as result Starkku is more critical of his updates (quality assurance because ppl are picky) while behind the curtains a lot has happened.

I think you will be pleased with the redesign Starkku is doing once he gets to the details and has all sorted out so no misleading information.

Hey Starkku thanks again for your contribution to my mod with your extensive beta testing/cameo creation/voxel editing and creation, to the point some people couldn't tell same public assets, just different paint job :crazed:

Perhaps some advice in regards to public information

- show some WIP work such as load screens/unit development to see how mod has improved, I know for one you've been revamping cameos could be entitled development log for example.

- this old video of mod seem to have missed news

- perhaps talk about certain units/writing up detailed profiles on units kind of like cnc site but obviously less lame (I did that for Stolen Tech for example)

- also your thoughts on campaign, history time setting.

- suggestion thread to generate ideas/opinions on weapons for new units, etc.

I hope that helps in regards to mod development and gaining attention from perhaps future artists.

hello
I agree with Allied General.

There is no need to do big updates only, thats Apollo style, dont take that way (;)), go for small updates, show a new unit when its done in a preview thread

If you look at Allied Generals forum, you can easy notice that he is often working on his mod, I think we should have the same feeling here, well if you do work on your mod anymore :xcahik_:

It's still being worked on. I do agree in the sense that I tend to update the progress far too infrequently. While not working on mod, I've often been busy with RL stuff or doing assets or beta testing for other mods around here. However, in next few days, chances are that i'll give out some new stuff to read and gaze upon :xcahik_: . But that'll have to wait a tiny bit, I'm too tired atm and off to bed.
