Perhaps 99% of people's ideas suck, but there does exist some (although extremely rare) good ideas. For example, the ideas that turned into Mechwarrior 3/4 and Metal Gear Solid 4 didn't suck, at least not so much.

Mechwarrior was based on battletech universe so kinda bad example in a way; the idea was already there. They just gave it a game. Same as Dawn of War.
The bad thing is when sucky ideas slip through the net and are made anyway. Darkest of Days being one clear example.
