Are spiderlings just going to be a power from Shelob, now that they cannot be created from the fissure? (i think that mirkwood spiders are a cool part of the faction, so i hope they at least stay as a summon power on the spellbook)

will they be replaced by a wolf pack?

and will there be wolf riders as well as warg riders? what will the difference be between those two (other than looks, of course)?

I think I got them mixed up a little... hehe

- The spellbook summon will go, and be a power of Shelob instead. You know, where she lays the egs herself =)
- The recrutable units might remain, but the BC will surely go, and model used as variation in the horde instead. I guess they could stay in the fissure, and maybe the Shelob ones are a bit smaller but quicker...
- Yes, Wolf AND Warg riders... Normal unlimited cavalry (wolfes) and limited stronger cavalry (Wargs). Both ridden by Goblins though. The RotWK models will be replaced =)

We have a Warg pack... I think it would be too much with a Wolf pack too...

so spiderlings are staying at the fissure? thats nice... i like that fast shock infantry type. on the topic of spiders, can you remove the spider riders from the spider lairs? i dont see goblins riding spiders at all, especially in the wild

We have a Warg pack... I think it would be too much with a Wolf pack too...

A wolf pack could be lighter and faster but weaker than Wargs. Like a light cavalry as opposed to a heavy cavalry. Send a wolf pack if you need to explore or react faster than Wargs could do.

yeah... a wolf pack would be only if spiderlings were removed i think, seeing as they filled the same niche in rotwk.

The spiders are still in in RotWK. The wolves are for Angmar. According to the strings (idk about the actual code,) spiders are strong against swordsmen and wolves are strong against spearmen (they act like swordsmen, dealing SLASH damage, iirc)

i have an idea: since the rhun barracks from rotwk proved to be a success, why not make the troll and wolf den from angmar into the new wolf den for moria? it would replace the warg den, which is already used as a lair. That way, there's build, destroy, level up, and other anims already on the building.

Hehe that's already in progress as we speak... it will be the final structure model I use from RotWK... Too bad there was no good stables as Rhun really needs that.

How do you all feel about adding the spider voices from DoS to the spiderlings?

I think that would be fantastic if you add them - keep EA's spiderling spider sounds and add in the Mirkwood spider voices with them. =D

And remember the quiet "attercop" noises when Bilbo is flicking the spiders' web.

That is a great idea NJM. Never crossed my mind actually. At least not yet. Can't say I really "like" how PJ gave them voices, but on the other hand, I don't know if Tolkien perhaps intended them to be super intelligent. It's obvious that Bilbo can only hear them as long as he wanders in the wraith-world while wearing the ring, but they would ad depth and new fresh dimension to the spiders indeed. Go for it! :thumbsupxd:  (Just don't forget the remaining audio/speech for Azog from DoS)  :evgr:

Ehm, I think it's a well known fact that just because you have the ability to speak, doesn't make your super intelligent.

Ok will do, when I've got some time. should be quite fun to hear the spiders saying "feast", "fat and juicy".

Btw I've inserted all the audio for azog. Got everything from DoS yesterday and uploaded it.

@Lauri: well I meant for a spider obviously  :whatoa:

@NJM: Yeah, I can really imagine it already. A lot of those sounds should be great for attacking primarliy, and maybe some for moving.

@MTL: I haven't read Bilbo =/ Only LotR... So thanks for the input =)
