I think this is the thing that everyone expects eventually to happen, but not a person is ever ready for... my deepest sympathies.
Being a total douche.

Well I finished 1.5 hours in photoshop preparing the 24in by 32 inch photo that will sit at the funeral Friday. You learn a lot about a person face when you are zoomed into it close for so long. Speaking of so long. I'll miss you dad.

I've attached a scaled down version for a view here. There was a lot of dust and stuff that can collect on a pic that is over 40 years old. So it was a bit tedious at some points.

I think I almost shed a tear. I am sincerely mournful of your loss, may he rest in Peace.

I'm sorry Hostile, I wish I could have done something to prevent such a horrible moment.

Whew... that picture is over 40 years old? Nice touch-up indeed.

I see a military man; am I wrong?

*spilling my heart for my friend Eric*

I just woke up today... thought I'd drop in at T3A and see what's going on since yesterday when I updated the SEE mod with new screens... and now, all I can think about is how trivial all this modding business really is, when things like this happen...

First of all I got a PM from a new SEE Team member who's accidently preparing for what just happened to you. His mother is - 95 - years old, and she's obviously about to embark on the last journey. I found it hard at first to come up with something good to say, but... as I thought about it, it came to me that no matter how we all try to not think about it... the day will come, sooner or later. In your case it was just way too soon, and I truly feel your pain, I do. I felt tears in my eyes when I read your post, and I can really imagine how you must feel. I almost lost my father 8 years ago, when he had a heart attack. After that, he changed his life a bit and today he's doing fine for a 74 yo man. Still, I know I wont have him or my mom around forever and considering the fact that I have met like a hundered women in my life, and that I'm still single without... I fear the future might be very lonely and that I will not leave anything behind myself, when my time comes. I have a very close bond to my family and I really don't want to experience losing them. But the day will come, and I have to prepare for it... even though you can't fully prepare for that kind of loss. Just rest assure that my thoughts are with you right now Eric, and I truly understand how trivial other things must feel right now.

Sometimes I should look deeper than the front forum page. My (delayed) condolences to you.

I've had more than enough pain from losing grandparents, but I don't know the pain of losing parents. And for now I will call that a blessing.

May you get through of this period of your life in a better condition than you went into it.

(lays down a forum flower) I was missing you today dad. I ran a trade show in Wash DC for the safari business I told you about in my prayers. We got 150+ leads, Daisy did a great job. You'd have been proud...

Can you email to heaven? or is that a Heavenly Secured Socket Layer? Is there pepperoni in heaven? Is there a heaven?

When I die I want to be shot into the sun, or just left on the soil, no casket and shit - I want to decompose with the earth, not stay frigid inside some fucken box.

May your father continue to party hardy in his current life - the one he died in probably got too boring, so hes like "FUCK this. I got offspring, they'll take care of things. Imma go party in the next galaxy biatch!" Woo!"
