When this mod is released (and it will be, i feel it) I will tell any and all about it and shout it from the mountain tops. Not only does this mod look spectacular, but the dedication of its main producer, Migeater, is something I can honestly say I have never seen before on a game. Bravo. Can't wait to dust off RA2 and play this mod, it will be like christmas mornin.

When this mod is released, my interest in ww2 will finally ignite my spirits again. I will probably learn 3d studio max and in honor of Mig and Mig's D-Day, I will make an updated version of D-Day if Generals 2 will come back to life.

I will make my friends play this no matter what. Very few games nowadays are worth the 60 dollar price tag they are given, but some of the mods that have been released recently definitely are worth such a price.

What I'll do when D-day is released is sleep for a week... then start on the next version XD

You know is comments like these that make me worry that D-day is way too hyped up, very few have played it but all seam to give it god like status >.> well beta testing should start soon(ish) then We'll find out if it's worthy of it's reputation.

All the beta testers have been chosen I'm afraid, you'll have to wait a bit longer for the public release.

Privately I don't mind, but I wont endorse any publicly released expansions.

What side would you want to add anyway, Romania? TBH the seven sides in D-day are about the only sides that can be fully added. After all pretty much all other countries fighting during WW2 used equipments from them seven, Romania would basically be Germany but with a different colour.

One day, I will think of a semi-intelligent response to that. Just a shame today isn't that day. The most I could probably come up with is, "Well fuck me sideways and shit in my grandmothers mouth".
How many times have you been tempted to give up and go for a different hobby instead? I know that going through 3.5 miles of ini coding just to hunt down one typo that's screwing everything isn't anybodys idea of a good time.

Well I did give up at one point but then I restarted again eight years ago, unofficially I've been working on D-day for ten years. Back then tho a guy called Govo was running the mod & I was just helping out with random stuff. He then left the community & I took over. I didn't think I could make such a large mod tho so I gave up, but then about 6 months later I restarted it on June 6th 2002 which is the official start date.

I really should add a page to the site about D-day's long history...

Not necessary as a side,but if I would,maybe I'd replace Hungary ;)

Nah,well,I guess I could handle something like a subfaction of Germany, but that's it.Its an idea if I get bored this summer.

Also, regarding weaponry, made a little research, and most of it indeed was:
-Czech,Polish,German,Italian and stolen Russian technology(occasionally mixes - such as the Tank Destroyer IIRC.)

Hungary isn't a "subfaction" it's just a few units that you can find in bonus crates, so there wouldn't be much to replace ;)

Well TBH it would only take an afternoon to make the TACAM T-60 & R-2 so I'm not against adding them myself but that's something for another time in the future...
