Finally able to release a public beta

I was (am) under the impression that this is not a beta though. That's also why the 0.5 version number confuses me, but I won't go software-development-nazi about that :p

But hey guys, great job. This may be the only mod here which isn't obviously recognizable as such and equals the quality of the original game (no offence to other mods, of course). I've already said it, but not in this topic :good:

I took a look at the very late yesterday evening. And I think you must be proud :good:
There are unfortunately a few things which are buggy, imbalanced or even not that quality like the rest, but I nevertheless love the details and the progress so far, it´s a pretty nice result :p

I figure I'll post my personal friend's (Lord Eniam's) review of it. He was at my house yesterday and I hooked him up. He thinks the mod has amazing if not even professional quality. Very well polished and very complete. In his personal opinion (as I gathered) he did not care too much for the dwarves as he envisioned them. But that is not your guys fault. That's just not how he would have made them. Anyways he feels that you guys did a great job. and are the true image of what T3A modders hope to someday become. :p

So after playing some games I want to leave a comment too.
All in all you guys achieved your goal in my opinion. Erebor is really top quality, the buildings as well as the units, just great.
All that detail, it really feels like one of the original factions of EA. It really fits with the other ones, both graphical and gameplay wise. The art work for the other factions is also amazing, but that's what you would expect from Nertea. :good:
But there is something that I really don't like about the first release: voices!
Compared with the high quality of the mod the voices are rather poor unfortunately, except the voices of Thorin and the basic dwarf warrior/archer, they are quite fine.

So, except some voices this mod looks as said above very professional.
Congratulations to the team, you really did a great job, this is really an awesome mod.
The best one for BFME1 imo. :p

Dragonzilla validate your email it only takes a couple minutes.

Now back on topic-
It would figure that this mod finally comes out and I can't play it because of computer problems :(

As for current download stats for Moddb atm it says 283 and 78 from Filefront.

Judging from the requirements it says on filefront the mod when installed is around 1gb?
That's pretty big, that's around the same size as my mod (around 900mb I think).
Gotta love the mega mods :)

I suffered a debug break on the Dol Amroth map.
Whom can I send the screenshot to?

I've played my first game and I'm delighted! Dwarves are my favourite race and you have made them justice in your mod. Only thing a bit rough are some voices which doesn't match the quality of sound of the originals, but is a beta so no complaints at all.

Congratulations for all the team!!!!!

And now it's time to get a few games in!
Cheers

Congrats to the RA mod team....it has taken a while, but I think this release will be considered a success. I'm glad you guys stuck with it and finally get to show off all that hard work.

Bravo! :)

I'm keeping an occasionally updated count on the Downloads page of our site. Will re-update it once I catch up on today's posts.

311 times on Moddb last time I checked, and 137 on Lotrfiles though I checked that yesterday, I think.

472 in total I think. Our site has also been visited over 1,000 times since it's launch.

Btw Matias, can you update the ModDB profile so it says Released instead of TBD.
