Any active events require a unique name, regardless of faction. That could be it.

Gah, everything's going wrong.

Sounds like something's up with the lock scripting. Do you have Story_MP_Fix.xml in the XML folder?

Yup, just checked, Story_MP_Fix is there, and I am running v1.1 with just the Unofficial PR v1.1.2 files added in, nothing else. Did this problem happen to anyone else or am i the only one?

You'll have to give me some time to dig around in my shtuff. Something seems to have gotten messed up in the last version.

That? I got that too... I always thought it was on purpose to allow the game to move faster or something like that.... Not helping the fact is that I always play rebels, so I never noticed it with the empire.

For those having troubles: Revert PR to vanilla, then download and install this older version, and see if it helps temporarily while I try to fix everything with the new one.

Well, from what I noticed is that it only affects the rebels, the empire plays fine. When playing as the empire, its kinda irritating because at the start of a GC the rebels swarm everything with mc80s when all you can build are acclamators and such.

New version:
-I tested the Rebellion GC this time, and things appear to be fixed. Apparently, I just needed to separate all the different factions into their own story files. :p
-No new features as of yet.

EDIT: Updated correctly this time.

I apologize to everyone who uses this. I made another rookie mistake. I didn't update the AI's story files. Sigh. Uploaded...again...

If anyone runs into any more problems, keep me informed!

I installed your mod on a fresh install of PR, and every time I try to start a Galactic Conquest I get an exception. I didn't need to install any other files prior to installing your mod, did I?

And no, I can start GC maps just fine on a fresh PR with the Slim Pack installed.

Edit again: It looks like I can't even do a Skirmish without getting an exception.

Is there a strikethrough tag here? Anyways, I found the answer. FoC apparently didn't like the trainer I was attempting to use. Consider this solved.

Thank you PR for the strikethrough.

Okay, completely different topic about this mod, so I feel a new post is justified.

Tropical Bob, when are you going to upload a version that includes the Message of the Day fix?

Ah, right. That. :umad: I'll add a hotfix for that instead of a whole new version.

Basically, the "Message of the Day" was causing issues for me, and perhaps others, from completely connecting to the online lobby for FoC. Changing the URL in Game Constants caused a version mismatch, so I've removed the URL and am adding the amended GameConstants.xml to the sub-mod. Not like anyone read the MotD anyway, right?

Linky
It follows the same folder structure as the main sub-mod, so extract to the main Phoenix Rising directory.

Should I remove it from the release version too?

Probably. It isn't like the Message of the Day is necessary.

I'd say so. I wasn't having any problems previously, but the URL that was in there was directing me to some Oriental text. And, for whatever reason, it just would lock up FoC trying to load the MotD the other day.

Right after you log into the FoC online bit, there's a menu with "Quick Match", "Custom Match", etc. It's the big black box with some text that no one reads.

Sounds like it's worth cutting then!

I noticed that this mod does not seem to include the scripts folder changes in the 1.1 bug fixes. Is this intentional?
