The rules are simple. Post a reply to this thread, specifying the Unit number and your suggested name. The best names will go on to round 2, where you will get the chance to vote for your favourite.
Here is a list of the 12 units you can name:
Unit 1: AntiVehicleInfantry - Male unit, a single weapon bionetically grafted to it's arm.
The "Unknown Name" uses a Channeled Energy Weapon to focus all the psionic energy from it's mind into a beam which can tear through enemy armour. The "Unknown Name"can also channel this energy in a different form which disables enemy vehicles.
Unit 2: AntiAirVehicleTech1 - Tracks/wheels, cannot travel on water, multiple rocket launchers.
The "Unknown Name"uses rockets to fire at air units and ground units alike. It's secondary can target any ground or water vehicles with a special energy which lowers the armour.
Unit 3: AntiInfantryVehicle - Tracks/wheels, cannot travel on water, single machine gun.
The "Unknown Name"is armed with a rapid firing machine gun for killing infantry. It has the ability to heal itself when damaged but this renders the machine gun unusable for a short time.
Unit 4: AntiVehicleVehicleTech3 - Two way transformer unit, Tracks/wheels, cannot travel on water, deploys into radar turret.
The "Unknown Name"carries a psychic wave weapon able to take out most heavily armoured tanks. In stationary mode this versitile vehicle is an asset on the battlefield, as it can support your army with it's damage boost and large visbility radius.
Unit 5: AntiStructureVehicle - Hovers, can travel on water and land, single barrel, radiates psychic energy from deployable antenna.
Able to take out structures at long range, the "Unknown Name" uses high yield tank shells, and radiate psychic energy that damages all units within range over time.
Unit 6: AntiAirShip - Naval unit only, single barrel similar to Pulse Tower.
The "Unknown Name" has the same energy based weapon as the Pulse Tower but can only target air units.
Unit 7: AntiNavyShipTech1 - Hovers, can travel on water and land
This amphibious unit uses torpidoes on water, and a machine gun on land. The "Unknown Name" also carries the unique ability to transform into stationary turret, diverting all motive energy to it's gun. However this transformation is permanent.
Unit 8: AntiStructureShip - Naval unit only, hanger doors open to release drones which are built on ship to replenish supplies.
Loosely designed on an Aircraft carrier, the "Unknown Name" sends suicide drone crashing into the enemy leaving burning fuel to continue the destruction. The "Unknown Name" can also launch a small barrage of missiles to do fire damage over a wider area.
Unit 9: FighterAircraft - Batteries are visible (pink glowing crystals/tubes)
Outfitted with a pulsing version of the Channeled Energy Weapon, the "Unknown Name" can make short work of enemy aircraft. However, the channeled energy is stored in batteries which must be charged when empty.
Unit 10: AntiGroundAircraft - Similar to the Twinblade, pilot controls unit psychically.
The "Unknown Name" is fitted with a small machine gun, but further damages ground enemies with intermittent psychic pulses from it's pilot.
Unit 11: BomberAircraft - Protectiles are missle based that glow with psychic energy, pilot has parachute.
The "Unknown Name" uses high damage projectiles and can detonate a psychic blast at the sacrifice of it's own health. On destruction, the units pilot, a Crusher, is ejected to land safely below it.
Unit 12: SupportAircraft - Slower moving, small engines, looks like a metal blimp.
The "Unknown Name" can enlarge allied units enabling them to crush those beneath them. It can also boost other units' health in one shot, but this ability takes time to recharge.
