I like the show, but I don't take anything it does too seriously. Then again, I'll watch just about anything that has Star Wars in the title, except that horrific Holiday Special from years ago.

Dreadnaughts are like this big secret that nobody can talk about outside of the odd reference book, so it's good the CIS got one.

Look how many Corellian light freighters we have because of the Falcon.
That's a good point. Not only directly, but all the light freighters that are cut-n-paste rearrangements of the Falcon, as well. Including the equivalent ship in the SWTOR.
Does the antipathy for the Clone Wars series include the Gennady Tartakovsky shorts, as well? Or just the later CGI version? I didn't really care for the new show at first, but it's grown on me. Like most Star Wars products, the quality varies inversely with the amount of Jedi involvement.

I care about canon, perhaps too much, which is probably one of the reasons why I simply can't stand The Clone Wars (TCW). The Genndy Tartakovsky shorts, which sadly I never saw, were harmless next to TCW, which can barely respect existing canon to even be considered Star Wars. There is a big difference between the shorts and the current CGI series. I have mentioned so many times throughout this thread the things TCW has done, and also voiced my disdain for the Del-Rey books of the 2000's that succeeded the Bantam Spectra books of the 1990's, without respecting the latter's continuity.

I know I am bumping this topic, but there isn't a point in making a completely new one to continue this line of thought.
Star Wars canon is officially broken, because in the Season Four premiere airing this Friday, Mon Calamari, locally known as Dac, and the Mon Calamari people are both going to be referred to as Mon Cala, a name never used before!

No, my objection is the new name is pointless, because there are several names for Dac/Mon Calamari already, and it is not like it hasn't been called Mon Calamari before in the Cartoon Network shorts.
This is the same problem that I have with the use of the term Republic-class cruiser during the New Jedi Order era, when the Republic-class Star Destroyer already exists.
I accept plenty of things TCW has added, like the Subjugator-class heavy cruiser, the Pelta-class frigate, and the Haven-class medical station, but the number of useless changes and additions it has made, like the numerous retcons I have mentioned throughout this thread, the New Mandalorians, and Ahsoka Tano, are simply intolerable. There is a big difference between adding meaningful things and adding pointless things.

I had always been kinda curious about Tano myself, as far as WTF was supposed to have happened to her given her absence in any of the movies which devolved into a terrible soap opera. (cannot speak to cannonicity) I almost suspect that the people responsible for TCW CGI series know about as much about the canon as I do, which is VERY VERY little. Made only more ironic by the fact that Lucas so closely defends the rights to the franchise while apparently aiding in the destruction of it's clear continuity. I'm waiting to see if he'll have the stones to declare a reboot on episodes 4-6 of the movies to continue farming the franchise for money.

The Millennium Falcon was actually in Episode III, when the shuttle carrying Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Palpatine to the Republic Executive Building docking port after the "landing" of the Invisible Hand, though Han Solo wasn't present, but it is very difficult to make out, and doesn't have an impact on the events.Knowing George Lucas, something like that is only too likely. It is a miracle Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon weren't in any of the prequels.

Word of God.I'd like to know how they make that radical jump just off one fuzzy shot in a movie. not like they paint the names on the side of those damn ships.
It's kind of the same as how they've changed the Corellian Corvette at the end of Revenge of the Sith from the Tantive IV to the Sundered Heart.
