Can someone change the helms deep map so that the Haldir (bless his soul lol) comes with heaps more elves. Right now he comes with 7 squads but could it be changed to 12 so that you can fill the wall with them like in the movie.

That would be ridiculously unbalanced, though. That's why I reverse it and use elves on the gate and Rohirrim on the wall. This also means that you don't lose as many of your elf squads if the wall is breached.

but your meant to loos heaps of elves, at least thats how it happeneed in the movie. also it wouldnt be unbalanced because it would just be replacing the rohirrim swordsmen/archers that i put on the wall with elves which are pretty much sa strong as them, then there would finally be a movie style Helms Deep map thats an accurate replication of the real battle.

And also try to remove borimir because he should have died long before the battle of helms deep. Normally i get him to fight the wargs chasing the refugees because it doesnt seem right having him alive at the battle for the hornburg.

Adding tonnes of elves to the battle would make it far too easy to defend, especially considering they're much better than yeoman archers, and they're all upgraded with heavy armour before they arrive. Part of the challenge in Helm's Deep is building and upgrading your army as best as possible before Isengard arrives - it'd be boring if you received a bunch of elite elves and then had to sit around for 5 minutes doing nothing.

Yes it's meant to be similar to the movies, but the game can't realistically match the size and scale of armies in the movies. Compared to the Isengard forces, 7 battalions of fully upgrade elves is more than enough ;). If it really bothers you that much, you can easily change the map scripts yourself to increase the number of elven battalions.

Also, the elves continue with your army following Helm's Deep, so increasing the number of elves will reduce the number of Rohirrim and other forces you're able to build up before Minas Tirith.

I was under the impression that if you decide not to save Boromir at Amon Hen, that he doesn't continue in the campaign? Either way, you can edit him out yourself if you really want him dead. Though if you're going for total movie accuracy, Hama should also be dead before Helm's Deep, Haldir should die during Helm's Deep, Gandalf should be removed from Amon Hen, Faramir should be removed from the action at Minas Tirith, and Theoden should die at Minas Tirith.

Which is all ridiculous, because it makes levelling them up pointless if you know they're going to die at a certain point. Part of the fun in the game is the 'what if' factor that comes with things like summons, changes to the various campaign missions, and having heroes survive longer than they should ;).

Yeah, Cel made an slightly less armoured version of the heavy armor to be the normal armour on that map.

We could just always increase the elves AND increase the uruk army :p

And for the record, I do end up sitting around waiting because I have over my cp limit and everyone upgraded anyway. So that point's kinda moot. I do think 8, or maybe 10 if we're pushing it, is enough though.

Dudes i upgrade all my computer piece and now the game run very great at high model of texture and all that kind of impovement graphic.Even at Minas Tirith if it's 16 minutes to rohirrim arive it's 16 minutes no an hour.My video board it's Nvidia GT380 and it's great so ad more enemy units and more elves :xcahik_: :xcahik_: (only if you wan)

Nope, there will be no patches for things like this. I may make adjustments, but don't know what yet.
