I had reworked Uruk-Hai model in BFME I, but after exporting I found that it became very hard to select the model in game. I think that the problem is in BoundigBox exporting. I tried to hide/unhide it, used the ABBox and OOBox, changed its size and tried renaming it into BoundingCube, but all these attempts failed. Could someone help me to solve the problem? I can attach the original .max file, if it is necessary.

Make the boundingbox bigger, there's nothing else to do.
Make the box as big as the object itself, that should do it.

I use OOBox with Hide ticked, but ABBox works just like that, so that doesn't have anything to do with it :thumbsupsmiley:

Oh, Lauri, one more thing to ask: I tried to export OBBox without ticking "Hide", but it remained invisible In W3D-viewer. Is it normal?

Yes, there's no need to use the Hide switch when using OBBox

Unfortunately, box resizing did not work and units are still hard to select.
What is possible to do now?
Could you help me, please?

How much did you resize it by? With an adjusted transform, I've seen both methhods of bounding box export shrink by up to 300%. So, try up to that amount.

I have increased the box by 300%, but there was no any effect at all! What could cause this problem? Could this problem occur due to some asset.dat problems, for example?

Try moving the box down a bit, so it covers the WHOLE unit. EA's boundingboxes tend to be more towards the head.

Are you positive that the unit with the 'fixed' boundingbox is making it into your mod, and that you're not still seeing the old one?

Good point- sometimes minor changes (I've found small tweaks to bibs for example do this) aren't picked up correctly by the exporter ifyou overwrite an existing file. Try the following:

1) Delete the w3d file from your mod
2) Compile a new asset without it
3) Reexport your model - make sure not to overwrite the existing one!
4) Recompile your asset

Yes, I am pretty shure, that the model was changed. And box moving and resizing did not solved the problem.

Reimport your model (after it is exported) and see if it has the BB then.

And make sure you untick the Export Transform (bone) setting on the box :thumbsupsmiley:

I never untick the export transform bone setting on the box... And ive never had any issues... :thumbsupsmiley:
Though i agree with nertea, reimport and see if its there.
If not... Then its just not getting exported... (obviously)

Thank you for your help!
Well, I tried to import model and saw that there was normal bounding box, but the model was still hard to select. Are there any causes for unworking bounding box, which are caused not by the exporter?

Yes, of course, but is this bounding box not big enough (this is re-exported model, the original bounding box covers it whole).
http://img535.images.../i/urukhai.png/

And this is the original .max file with bounding box exporting options.
http://img87.imagesh.../f/urukhai.png/

Could you tell me if I should link the box to some bone or not?
