Have you seen Ares trailer yet?

If yes, then it's time for an end-of-the-winter update. It's getting warmer and sunny - just the way I like it. That means it's not time to work on Mental Omega 3.0 anymore!

Just kidding. There's been some heavy progress recently. We're finishing up the sides, working on missions, new skirmish maps, graphics, soundtrack, etc. Now, if only we were able to work on the website.. we're still looking for someone who'd like to help.

Azri_Apoc has been working hard recently - these are some of his latest creations!

Hmm, the Harrier is just massive and the Chrono Prison is simply... kind of boring IMO. Not as interesting and unique as the original. Maybe the turret could simply be replaced with something using the three prongs, but in a more RA3 Allied style.

Airpads will be adjusted to accustom for the new sizes of the planes.

The Chrono Prison design was lifted from a concept art. I believe Speeder has it.

Well, it was loosely based on KaneNash's concept. I prefer it to the original one.

So... aircraft buildings will have to be bigger? Can't change the cell size, so pads are gonna somehow have to overlap the surrounding cells, making a 4 padded structure at least 3x3. Also who's working on structure art?

The Chrono Prison design was lifted from a concept art. I believe Speeder has it.

Doesn't mean it isn't bland IMO. :p Now every vehicle looks equally heavily armoured and more like standard tanks, no funky inventive designs to keep things interesting.

Coming back to one of Omegabolt's questions: We do not have any SHP artists at the moment so unfortunately most buildings will either be public assets or C&P jobs for now.

Don't underestimate the power of the C'n'P, guys, Speeder's work are amazing.

I always liked his airpads, since I seen them first in MO 1.2... and the new Tech buildings also looks awesome.

Wow,looks awesome. :D

I feel to make maps again (Computer back :lol:)...and maybe try to make some missions. :p

The only problem I see is in the Abrams Tank.The canon should be a bit longer.Only a bit,that's it.

The rest is awesome like I said before. ^_^

Harrier Question - Just a question about the harriers also will they have the ability after take off to hover over a specific location for a small amount of time and guard it . Instead of flying back the air-pad like in the original game version. Also will the harriers only have missiles for tanks and air craft or can they use machine guns on troops as the hover around which with what harriers do is float stationary in a location a small time and attack everything.


Chrono tank Question - Just wondering i like the new look but the top turret seems kinda small since the other version had a huge chrono orb looking turret to fire with . new look is interesting just was wondering will they be tougher or as tough as the last one.


Prism tank Question - will the prism tank be getting a heavier look since there is nothing for it on the site as far as i know of to see about it. I would also ask about the tank having smaller mini prism lasers on it to deal with troops like the laser on Abrams tank so it can use the bigger normal prism blast for tanks - buildings etc.

Battle fortress Question - will they also look different cause i have not seen them either that i can think of. Could the new look show the fortress actually having turrets or cannons which ever on the sides for the five soldiers inside cause the old one looks like it only has four firing spots the two on both sides. There should be something that looks like a fire spot in the front or if it can hold six there could be added a firing turret in the back of the fortress also.


Chrono miner Question - Could the miner for the allies be tougher as in more armor since they can travel fast but leaves them soft cause they have no protection mostly allies never protect them . Soviets get the gun on there's and Yuri's is always invisible plus Yuri guards there miners if there slave miners plus the like the secure ore deposited a lot .


Final Question - Tesla tank new look - Never got a answer back on the Tesla tank if it will get bigger look cause the old one is kinda flat and looks weak . Should be bigger to show that it packs some serious electrical power. Also will they be able to charge up the Tesla coil towers i think they should cause would help with that .

Regarding the Battle Fortress, it has 5 ports on it by default. The turret at the front is another port. The BF's machinegun is at the top of the unit, just beyond this port.

On the standard non-TFD YR install there is a 3D render of the BF, where this is clearly visible.

As of now, aircraft cannot perform patrols.

All units with a few exceptions will be getting a graphical overhaul.

It can automatically return to the base. Here is his defence (imo way better than the soviet one... and even the Epsilon one, when the enemy has sensors)

Actually, it doesn't automatically do that. You have to make it return manually. This might actually be a pretty cool function. ^_^
