Here's an update, guys.

While waiting for the last models to be inserted in Contra 008 Beta, we decided to change Black Lotus model because many people complained about flat face.

Now, this Lotus is improved. Knife (visual detail from the previous model) is removed in order to save polygon number when making a better face.

Many thanks for the update! The new Black Lotus looks very good. One thing I've never been able to swallow though, is why she hasn't atleast a small sidearm, just for immediate protection...?

Guys, if Contra 008 come out where will you play it online? Please write me some VPN's (rooms, networks, either) where the online tests (and the fun of course) will begin...

Currently, most popular is tunngle. It has room for 007 version (average number of players 50), and it has room for 008 (which will be used for this beta and full version). Other software is under question.

But of course, sir. China infantry are 100% completed and inserted. A few soldier variants need to be inserted for GLA, and some vehicles and structures for USA and China. All these models are done, but need tweaking such as damaged model, destroyed model, animation, addons, housecolor and so on. If Creator makes progress with the same speed, then it be finished sometime in February. Progress is made every day.

Perhaps in a Week we can have a release  ?  Sorry for insisting but Contra is the only decent strategy game this year so please give us SOMETHING.

I understand you. I am very excited as well. News from Creator, he inserted all gla infantry last weekend. About 15 models left (models as bunker, laser turret, etc.). Some of them are inserted but need damaged version, etc. I hope he is less busy this month and gets more free time to finish it. But I doubt it will be ready in a week. Probably a month. Play something else while waiting for Contra. It will help.

How many people is the Contra team made of?

Currently active are 4 members. Many members disappeared during last year. Some members had one job tasks such as recording china and gla replics. They finished that task and now they are not active in working of course, since thete are no new replics neded.
But many active members are just disappeared, they have been working on maps, scripts, some art...models etc.
And only one person inserts and checks everything, Creator.

Oh no :( ... - Sounds like thats are worse news to me. I know its hard work and time is running but we're all so excited ... Maybe it is possible to upload a beta version ? Without the campagne for Multiplayer gameplay. That would be very nice! - Also if it isn't possible and nothings gonna work, I'll wait for the full version and even so thank you for your time and efforts.

Exactly. Our plan is to release a Beta version first. It will help us with balance adjustments and bug fixing. Some models are not inserted yet and we want to insert all new models in the Beta version. After this, we will release it.

Oh men! i really cant wait! ive been looking up your website every week for the status of this awesome mod! like for a year or even more!
