Might be silly to put it in reviews i thought since only the first episode is officially out, so I'll just put a thread here.

This series has been hyped for quite a while in my circle. The quick review of the first episode would be a 8'/10 for me, as it seems more oriented towards converting those that already have read the books and is filled with many little things that make little sense on their own. But I heavily suspect that this will branch out quickly as hell as we get more character time and political drama that will make it worthwhile.

I saw the first episode, it was good. The seven kingdoms and all that stuff. They actually played it on 6 HBO channels at once last night. Seemed like you will watch it or else!

It was fun.

It was pretty good, I think. I really liked the stuff in the Seven Kingdoms, though I felt the content on the other side of the narrow sea was a bit weak. This may just be my dislike for how they cast Dany creeping in though.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

Yeah I didn't really enjoy the east-side as much as the Seven Kingdoms, but that will probably change as things evolve. Right now it seemed more like a bunch of stereotypic barbarians, so we'll see what happens.

Watched the final episode of this season. I have to say it has been the show of the year(so far) for me. I hope they are able to continue for all the books, would be boring if they choked off halfway through the story.

I hope they upgrade the direwolve size in the next season though. And it seems likely that they'll need more cash for effects, but we'll see what happens.

I recently discovered this series, and I was quite amazed. Having read the first book it's also very faithful to the text, except for the fact that it's made the Stark children older than they are in the books. Am very much looking forward to the new series in March. :)

Hmm, so it was finished in june, and season 2 starts in march... Time does fly.

And you Ash, must either be slow on good media or observing it legitimately :).

Oh, I thought this was about the game. ... Posting this resolves nothing. Soooo... would this show interest me, or is it mediocre and just something to watch?

It is the bees knees of current television storytelling, avoiding old tropes and focusing on characters, world description and grim situations. I suspect it will only become better and better as we see the different characters fight to live or die.

I just got done with the first episode. Not bad... bit too much nudity.......... but that's modern TV for you I guess. A lot of big names in that show so far. We got Bolomir as the ruler of the Northern kingdom... that fat comedian guy who's the high king, or what-not... I forget what the name of his sitcom was. And Jason Moma! Jason Moma is amazing... he played Ronnan in Stargate Atlantis. But he has yet another role as a barbarian... so good for him.

The next episode awaits.

It just gets better as you see these people put through the ringer.

Good... and hopefully more supernatural stuff. The first 10 minutes was my favorite part with the White Walkers and all, then that just sort of went nowhere else that episode.

Dont forget the uniqueness of Tyrion Lannister ( Peter Dinklage), .. the dwarvie =D i think he capture the mood of the books very well =)

U got some news about the 2d season? Had heard a lot of rumors, even a release date for March, but nothing was confirmed..

And i think that the last episode is pretty the best aswell =D They're got a bit dull in the "horse rituals", mostly making it just a cutscene, when its a pointkey at the books =)

But the end scene.. is bloody awsome =D

I try to avoid overall spoilers in the next season and from this season. The only thing I've seen are some generic articles about new characters and the actors playing them.

Don't really recall much of a horse ritual from the first season, might have been a part of something else. The spoiler notice was more my own attitude on discussing big spoilers in a "introductory" thread and not specifically on your "spoiler(s)" which weren't a problem.
