I'm seeing it in a few hours. How about we start a second topic with SPOILERS in the title so Rad knows to stay away? :p

My wonderful girlfriend managed to switch our tickets to a 2d viewing, which wasn't listed when I pre-ordered them. So now I'll go to see it 45 minutes earlier and without distracting, blurry 3d. I would've gone for the 3d if my cinema also offered 48fps, which alas they don't. Seen enough movies shot with the same 3d technique PJ used to know it would end up slightly blurred and distracting.

I heard PJ's cameo for this one is in the first few minutes of the film. I'll have to be sure to look for him.

From the little I've gained from critics, it's that it's an over-the-top effects movie (also known as 48fps sympthom, it's new and dangerous!), good movie (but not more), but probably a fantastic movie for fans of The Lord of the Rings.

I belong in that last category, so I'm not concerned. If Matias likes it, all is well.

Generally speaking,.... the 48fps is what is dragon its reviews down. According to another forum I subscribe to, anyway. I wasnt planning to see it in any other format but digital, regular 2d, 24fps anyways

Well, imo the new 3D effect was awesome, though I had to get used to it in the beginning, it's all very new. I think if you're going to watch it, you should do it with the new camera effects, things actually look really 3D.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.
