Impressive list, I must say! :good:
I'm wondering about Edoras though, do you have any plans on making that again?

1:
What shall we do with the two versions of Weathertop? One is from RotWK and the other one from BfMEII.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Both could be made lore accurate, but I am not too sure which one to keep Weathertop and which one to use as something else. I will vote for keeping the first one, as people can connect to it from the Campaign. A compromise can also be made, keeping and copying aspects from one map to the other so we get a hybrid.

2:
City of the Dead is no longer a SEE map. I have started again with my idea, and will be expanding Paths of the Dead to include the City of the Dead as well. So Paths of the Dead will be awesome and have the best stuff from City of the Dead and more.

3:
When I am going through this list again and mapping them up to the standard of SEE, there are a few maps that can do with small, non-game changing, additions; candy for the eyes, Easter eggs and making the locations more accurate.
Maps that you can consider me working on are:
Angmar
Barrow-downs
Cardolan
Coldfells
Ettenmoors
Fangorn
Forochel
Gundabad (RotWK campaign conversion)
Gundabad Mountains (Renamed BfME II Gundabad)
High Pass
River Carnen (Renamed BfME II Iron Hills)
Minas Morgul
Minas Morgul (Scaled)
North Downs
Paths of the Dead (Reworked)
Rhudaur
Ruins of Rhudaur (Renamed RotWK Tournament Rhudaur)
Sauron's Forge by MtL
Westmarch

4:
I will also like to contact Namo, I have a 'minifortress' in the works that he may be interested in. It is based on his idea of having a fortress as a focal point for battles, but no player actually occupies it. The fortress's design is based on real-life Masada, but it is set in a desert in Middle-earth.

5:
How much work have you done on Minhiriath, NJM? I have reworked it to be Old Forest (Withywindle, Old Man Willow, water-lilies) and have started a different Minhiraith map.

6:
Does SEE have everything it needs for Barad-dur?

With weather top Ive always preferred the original version, Though an argument can be made for the ROTWK version - if its time of day is changed to night. I would really like to see the ruins and hill to be more like in the film though.

looking forward to seeing what you do with a combined paths and city of the dead.

Go ahead and have at it with your list. I like your thinking on the Iron hills. I was planning to change it to be the river carnen as well, then do a seperate map for the iron hills My only nitpick and this ia part of how anal i am.... I really really try and use a name for a location I can find on a map of middle earth.

All ive done to minihirith is scaled the tress and minor tweaking of placement of things. You can do your own improved version.

I have the Barad dur map you sent me about a year ago when it was finished, From what I understand the model of the tower must be edited to not explode. but it should play just fine.... unless theres something missing? I havent tested it.

Nothing else except to perhaps get the AI to be efficient in attacking Barad-dur and getting the AI to build in Barad-dur where we want it to. I think I made the AI maps similar to your Dol Amroth in RJ-mod, but I can't get it to work.

I think we need a map scripter on the team as well?

When the first beta of the DC version is out, more ppl are gonna be attracted to SEE again. Both players and modders. Maps are important, but not crucial at this stage. In the end, they are very important though, as this is where SEE is gonna take place, so I appreciate you guys working on them. Just remember my mantra - the closer to the films, the better :)

If you wish, I could have a look at your AI bases and on how you set them up. Since I got my Carn Dûm bases working in the end, I'm more optimistic now that I can generally handle AI bases.

Concerning the scripts ... what do you need exactly? Just a subroutine which tells the AI to attack every X seconds/minutes, or more complex stuff?

Can you tell me how you did it? I am quite proficient in scripting in Empire Earth, I just haven't had time to learn the language. You can PM me.

Basically I want the outside players to ignore Barad-dur's second gate until Late Game, and keep their armies in different places instead of lagging just one place.
Also I want them to attempt Barad-dur with catapults/trebuchets in Late Game.

I still can't find my AI maps, I have no idea where I put them. So I might need to make them again.

More updates, lots of green now.

I need some suggestions on naming the tournament maps.

Tournament Gundabad - Northern Wastes, Mount Gram?
Tournament Hills - ?
Tournament Snow - ?
Tournament Rhudaur - ?
Tournament Udun - Udun, with some editing

Tournament Gundabad - definitely Mount Gram
Tournament Snow - Forochel, Forodwaith (not sure on the spelling)
Tournament Hills - Lone Lands, Weather Hills
Tournament Rhudaur - Rhudaur 2 :p

My two cents.

Tournament Gundabad
I don't think it suits as Mount Gram (which is in the western side of the Misty Mountains and might possibly be in the Coldfells).
It does have a nice frozen lake in it, and if a passable frozen river was made and a waterfall (the first thing I thought of was making the frozen waterfall from the first Narnia movie) we could name it River Greylin which starts in the Grey Mountains.

Tournament Hills?
It is very much like Brown Lands isn't it... hmmm

Tournament Snow
Is this the one with the Ettenmoor Goblin King Fortress objects? If so, it would certainly suit an area between the Coldfells and Angmar as it has a similar terrain and texture. We could get rid of the Fortress objects although.

Tournament Rhudaur -> Ruins of Rhudaur pretty please. ;)
I have already converted this map to BfMEII and I added some lovely ruins (As Strider and the Hobbits pass through with a wounded Frodo they see the ruins of Rhudaur). I can do the same for the RotWK map.

I liked the mount gram idea, Though you make a point. There is also the river langwell which would work also. Might be better since the other gundabad I changed the name to Greylin already. Though Im trying to limit the editing.

Tourny hills Ill name "lone Lands" I like it and it suits just fine

Tourney snow - will become forodwaith, Ill remove goblin fortress stuff.
Ill rename original "Forodwaith" to "Ice bay forochel"

Rhudaur - is fine being the Ruins of rhudaur - I want a pic from the film though. : )

You renamed EA Gundabad to River Greylin?

EA Gundabad might be better suited to River Langwell (which is near Framsburg) - but only because it is a more hospitable-looking map and has a random boat hidden in it.

Yeah I named it that because the langwell flows south east. The river on ea's gundabad flows south west, so does the greylin. It fit better than anything else.

Hmmmm, yes. I agree.

I also wish to make map ang gundabad - Unused Campaign Gundabad - into the real Gundabad (where it is a mini-fortress and only the front of it). I have already tried once but I plan to use invisible terrain instead of the rescaled rocks on top of Gundabad - so I can get a better mountain shape.

Yeah, I want to see a better gundabad too. I've wanted to see a half inside the mountain half outside, similar to erebor. Or alternately the center of the map is inside the mountain. While there's cliff pathways leading around and downward to flat areas for the set locations.

I like my second idea most
