The Baranduin was not that wide , it's perfect as it is now :) . Will you add some Hobbits there ? Since Buckland is pretty prosperous , I think it would add some more "immersive" feeling if there are more inhabitants ;)
Very good map by the way . It's just amzing !
All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.[1]

Those maps are looking great! They truly look like 'new' maps and not reconfigurations. I applaud you, sir, well done!

I really like the ferry crossing.
Incidentally, has anyone ever tried to get the ferry to 'work'?

I'm especially anticipating hearing and seeing how your "...terrain coming last." methodology works out.

It is possible I could add some civilian hobbits that wander using the same coding as the animals. I may not do too many on this map since its a night setting.

Thanks for the compliments.

I had briefly thought about having a proper ferry but I dismissed the notion just as quick as I had it. Too overly complicated.

I find the terrain after method works really well for scenery maps. Its easier to build the terrain around the object in its proper location than to build the terrain and try and get the object where it should be.

Like I said to MTL; beautiful work once again! I find no flaws but Farmer maggots crop would be a nice addition :thumbsupsmiley:

Well I dont have any plans to add farmer maggots to the map. Based on what Ive read I would probably put it on a different map that has the Marish and Woody End on it. These locations would be better suited on a map that would be "left" of the current ones left border lol

Update on Tuckborough:

I personally think that your the best at making huge maps or remaking them from BFME campiagn
BUT MTL is pretty beast with the fortress maps and such
MTL 50% NJM 50%
Love the Shire.

Ha ha ha ha, NJM is my inspiration here. There is no need to compare mappers at the moment.

That middle section of Tuckborough will be a very hot area. May I ask what farm it is in Middle Earth?

Yeah mapping isn't a competition.

The farms your seeing were already there, they don't belong to anyone in particular. The center of the map will not have those 5 buildings in it, ill probably just put more hobbit holes in their place.

EDIT: New center of the map:

A much better looking Tuckborough. Now I can actually see it as a town.
