I may have misunderstood, but why how would goblins manage to get ahold of so much mithril when it's among the rarest of resources in Middle-Earth? And why is it gold?

My guess for the gold is because its an easier upgrade to see rather then silver. More noticeable at a quick glance.

"The wealth of Moria was not in gold or jewels, the toys of the Dwarves; nor in iron, their servant.... Its worth was ten times that of gold, and now it is beyond price; for little is left above ground, and even the Orcs dare not delve here for it.

"Mithril! All folk desired it. It could be beaten like copper, and polished like glass; and the Dwarves could make of it a metal, light and yet harder than tempered steel. Its beauty was like to that of common silver, but the beauty of mithril did not tarnish or grow dim."

(The Fellowship of the Ring, "A Journey in the Dark").

Don't black out the screenshots it looks ugly.
If there's stuff you don't want to show just take a different screenshot.

Also Dwarves wouldn't have used Mithril either only royalty and even then probably only Durin's line.
It would be the equivalent of wearing an entire outfit made of 24 carat Diamonds.

The gold will be re-textured into silver (it was the original planned texture for heavy armour)
And only 12 units can have that upgrade per game.
It could have been taken in battles that the goblins won such as Balin in Moria and other fallen dwarf lords.
I mean you look at the dwarves from EA, all of them had Mithril Mail :p

What was wrong with scavenged armour?

Mithril Mail is a super upgrade for the Marauder only.
Marauders have 3 in a horde and are limited to 3 hordes.
It adds a lot of armour to them but Scavenged armour was too cheap and weird for balancing IMO

You can't use EA's mess-up's as an excuse to mess up yourself :p
While it isn't as bad when it's limited to 9 soldiers, it is bad again when it's Marauders. They are what, 4 times bigger than dwarves? Do you reckon they reforged the dwarves mithril armour into fitting the Marauders?

Just asking, since I'm generally against Mithril as a 'common' upgrade..

The marauders have been downsized to the goblin height which keeps that balanced :p
I know that the goblins wouldn't re-forge mithril as they didn't make those type of things... or so I heard
And yeah, 9 units only :p
But in the certin chmbers of Moria, then would be a few Mithril things as Mithril was only from Moria if I'm not mistaken...

Yes it has been quite a while since the updates :p

But here is something small to update on:

On the last update, I posted the Menu, but it was .png

So here is a proper picture:

Menu.jpg

Next we have the Monster Lair which will be replacing the Huge Toilet... I mean Fissure:

MonsterLair.jpg

  • Cost = 700
  • Can create Warg Scouts, Goblin Warg Riders, Cave Trolls, Eregion Trolls, Fire Drakes and Cold Drakes

And finally we have the Dark Statue:

DarkStatue.jpg

  • Cost = 250
  • Friendly allies gain Leadership within a certain radius of the Dark Statue
  • Cost of infantry is reduced depending on how many Dark Statue(s) you have

Well, that's pretty much it for now :xd:

More updates will be up very soon ;)

Just wondering do the new structures fit in well with the originals?
Considering the colours...
