This looks more like a smoke screen to cover some issue or an other. The fact that the corporates give us reasons for their actions doesn't make them true.

If it's hard then it's worth doing.

I do not think that Disney has feelings one way or the other. It's the video games market that largely decides what kind of games will be pursued and invested in. If the survey says that RTSs are in demand they'll probably make one, don't hold your breath though...

This whole thing's success depends who they entrust Star Wars with within Disney's deep pit of producers and directors. You have individual corporations like Pixar that hate Disney, but they are owned by Disney and do quality work. Also, the writers of the new cartoon, Gravity Falls, came into Disney fairly recently and they prove that Disney does have the proper resources to actually make it interesting. I really do hope they keep it old-school and not follow the modern trends of poor, predictable script writing.
