Yeah I really don't want to have to install any more stuff, Steam is already pretty annoying...

Well. The game is pretty good. It's a mix between Renegade and BF3 which is a good thing. Of course there are some boring moments, specially when you're not playing with your budies.
I guess my favorite class will be the infiltrator. It's so fun to sneak inside an enemy base and start taking out people. I had an awesome moment. I was alone, and a bunch of NC (6 guys) were repairing the ShieldGenerator, since we're sieging their base. I was able to take out 2 of them via melee, but soon, obviously I was killed. It was my PlanetSide 2 moment. And I felt awesome.
Can't wait to start playing with our guild.

That old MW2 quote: "2 men took out an entire base, I ask much more from you now Allen" might come true

Needless to say I played all day. And I am TICKED. The ONLY class that can't have a shotgun is the infiltrator class. ... That's really the only class that can use it. Every other one is rarely in close quarters since every map is so huge, and base combat has to many enemies on one side, a shotgun won't do much if they see you coming. I don't understand... but what'ev. Ken, Bolt... how 'bout a little recon this week? I'm good all week and weekend.

Hmm... I'm quite "grounded" untill Dec. 3rd. Final exam is comming soon, so I was supposed to be studying.
BTW, What server are you in? We should all join the same server.
And Pas, I believe the shotgun can be brought... I guess... Not sure. Dont remember.

I did spend 10 bucks on the Vanu shotgun, Pandora. If you know of a way an infiltrator can use a shotgun, then please do share.

Yea, I'm playing Vanu for my single player needs and I'll to TR with you people. And my TR server is Genudine, US West. It has a decent population without too much craziness, but that'll probably change soon. You guy can help me on my solo missions on capturing entire bases.

Ok downloaded it on Steam and just started playing. Have to say the Vanu had the best music on the selection screen but I still chose TR since they look better.

I did notice that as well. TR's music is way too... virtuous. Or good-guy'y. Vanu has awesome military techno once in awhile. Over-all, the game really doesn't have that great of a OST.

But more on the praise of Vanu, we have conquered every continent besides Amerish. We're also under-manned compared to TR, which should be a handy-cap. Also, add ThePasidon to your friends list. Unless it goes by character name... then go with PASID0N (that's with the O and a zero) and Pasidon.

Creative. My new nick is MagicZebedee or my TR character is ZebedeeTheMagician. Been having some serious performance issues though, first game I've come across that poses much of an issue. Unsure why really...

I'm assuming you tried turning your graphics low. I know that the game performs optimally with NVIDIA.
