Thanks to Mathijs for giving me a replacement model for the Mirkwood Rangers and Thranduil !
The Horse Lords - Elves

Might I just say thank you for reading my idea! When I was talking about the elves shooting weird I meant horizontally (instead of having the bow vertical) and the double recurve being the shape of their bow (scroll down to his weapons and have a look.) All Lothlorien weapons are the same. Legolas' knives are just gold wood colored. If I knew how to send pictures that I could draw for you I would. Also I fan-boy screamed with excitement when seeing the Thranduil picture.

Thank you. I've made a better version:

Yeah, he has boots and lower legs beneath his robe. The sword is complete with alpha'd negative space in the blade.

But the face doesn't look right... ;p

He reminds me of a conservative version of the "Crimson Chin"
I imagine the concept is based off of the new Hobbit movie (which I have not yet seen), though the lack of layers really bothers me about the outfit. It looks like one large jumpsuit that flares out at the bottom. Like a onesie bell-bottomed dress.
I feel like there should at least be SOMETHING that differentiates arms from torso from waist to legs... It's all one large piece of cloth. Or that's how it looks to me.

That's what he wears, though. Occasionally there's a red coat over it.

I'm waiting for the last film and with all 3 Design books before I start doing elves, because I want them to be perfect !
About your Thranduil ... his face is a bit chewy tho.

As I said, I knew you were going off of the actual art. It just doesn't look right to me... Seems so awkward. Not to mention un-fit for any sort of combat.

I made a variation, in Celeglin's tradition of randomizing heroes upon recruitment.

Impressive detail work on the sword. The chin is also a bit more conservative in this version
Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

It takes time, patience, and devotion. Very few people started out really skilled off the go, most of the awesome stuff you see in all of T3A is the result of modders who have been honing their skills for many years now. Some of us have been regulars here since the game was released back in 2004.
