I'm thinking of a way to improve the variation - I'm pretty sure here is a chance to let them be slightly multicultural, you could vary their skin tones? =D

I'm going to be honest here; I think the Before looks better. The After has the look of gray cloth rather than metal, and needs more work on the highlights and shadows.
Not that I like EA's concept of them, but I'm guessing your patch won't touch design
