Scorpion Tank (Name sounds unoriginal)
Cost = $1000
Speed = 5
Hit points = 315
Armor Class = Heavy
Prerequisite = War factory, Pandora Hub (T3 at least)
Primary Purpose = Anti-armor support
Secondary Purpose = Anti-infantry
Weapon = "Scorpion Venom" Sprayer (Basically an acid sprayer)
Range = 5
Unique to Scorpion Cell
Additional Information
- Does extremely little damage to vehicles but reduces armor by 20% which lasts for 4 seconds. Non-stackable
- Does full damage to infantry. Death animation for infantry would be the original RA2 radiation melting animation (The one Irkalla uses currently when she kills infantry with her lasers)
- The cooldown time before the Scorpion Tank fires it's weapon would be 7 seconds
- When it dies it explodes violently and leaves a patch of acid. The animation would use the original RA2 demolition truck explosion. The difference would the the size of the patch which resulted from the explosion. 5x5 tiles at least and it would last for 10 seconds. Infantry and Vehicles that would pass through that patch will take damage. The color of the patch would be green.
- Infantry with less than 100 hit points near an exploding Scorpion Tank will die instantly. Infantry higher than 100 hit points can still survive, but still can die if that infantry will not be moved away from the acid patch resulted from the explosion.
- Vehicles near an exploding Scorpion Tank will take damage and their armor will be reduced by 20% for 4 seconds.
- Can enter tank bunkers.
- Can fire on the move.
- Driver cannot be killed
- Can crush infantry.
- Completely useless against structures.
- My Imagined model for this tank would be a bulkier Mantis Tank with additional armor plating. The cannon itself would be a sprayer which is shorter than the Mantis Tank cannon. Turreted. Has an acid tank at the back. Some parts of the tank will glow green. (specifically the acid tank and the sprayer)
I have not placed a description because I found it hard to create a description that can fit within the MO lore. Sorry.

I don't think there isn't a huge issue with this unit but the death effect would have a problem. Ares doesn't have custom radiation yet, which means that all radiation is orange and kills people in a certain way. So you'd either need to let it spawn gas clouds on death or have an AttachEffect warhead on death that attaches a damage over time effect to the units nearby (like acid getting sprayed on them).

It's fairly easy to change the appearance of units like the lasher to have that Soviet-tan color. Just can't have that AND the Epsilon lasher in the same map.

It could be also coded by a deathweapon which spawns an animation and that anim delivers the damage (which in-game terms deliver the same result).

As far as units that are map exclusive, lovalmidas said a month ago allowed the sharing of the Super Thor code(not sure if he allowed public sharing but private sharing he allows it). I cannot say the same for the Soviet variant of the Lasher Tank though.

I don't know how to clone the lasher and give it a new skin, but I have successfully changed the lasher's appearance on a universal level. Missing the voice files too.

- Uses 105mm Cannon vs. units, structures while it uses the M2 Browning HMG vs. infantry.
Description
A tank once planned to replace the Abrams. However it was cancelled after the Abrams upgraded it's arsenal with the addition of the "Saturn" Laser Weapons.
After the invasion of the Soviet Union in the American Soil, the project continued in secret by the remaining Allied forces in the US as a last resort weapon.
Due to limited resources available, the production of the tank came into a halt after building 150 units.

The mission in MO:
You and your partner in Scorpion Cell need to sabotage the Soviet African Expedition, which is mentioned in Singleplayer. The first step is to take over an outpost to signal in reinforcements to destroy another base. All vehicles of the first outpost are away looking for Rashidi. However, it is full of infantry. So you need to go to work as in RA1 by taking a chemical truck to a river with waterfall and an convenient placed village full of civilians. Once you have placed the truck beginning of the river, while taking out some infantry patrols of the Soviets everyone in the village and first outpost dies. Now you and your partner need to share the outpost and you get some SC reinforcements. The rest if the mission you need to infiltrate the radar to blind the Expedition to buy some extra time for Rashidi and ofc. Destroy the base. Again an idea from the RA1 mission packs.

How about having all maps playable in Meteor Swarm mode? This way you can play on Team Alliance maps, Fortress Maps, everything.
Any thoughts on this simple idea? Meteor Swarm AI is fucking bad ass to fight against with your friends, but certain team alliance maps like Offense Defense aren't available, plus all the Fortress Maps aren't available.
Or maybe add Meteor Swarm Tick Box in the main battle screen, along side the starting units and starting cash sliders and super weapon tick box; along side all this shit, imagine there being a "Meteor Swarm AI" check box option. Is this even possible?
I know the map thing is easily doable, but I'm unsure of the tick box.
What are your guys thoughts?

Meteor Swarm in Fortress maps would be fun.
But just like you, I am not sure about the tick box you are mentioning.
Maybe the only possible thing would either be
1. Adding the maps in the Meteor Swarm game mode itself
2. Separate Game modes (Meteor Fortress Swarm, Meteor Infantry Swarm, etc.)

I think the Soviets are disadvantaged with transports. Allied Stallion and Epsilon driller can go anywhere. Soviets don't have any means of bypassing cliffs or other obstructions.Maybe a hind transport with reduced capacity that stallion but a small chaingun. In response, borillo can have it's capacity reduced.

No. I didn't say that the Abrams Tank will be removed. The info says it is Non-buildable. It can only be captured in certain skirmish maps.
The "Grizzly" Tank you mentioned is already in the game as the Abrams Tank.
You have a point though. Even though my created unit has different characteristics, it still basically functions as an Abrams Tank.
Btw, what happened to the infantry crawl animations?

Actually, that's not true. It's just the case with Human Shield. The only requirement for the Soviet Lasher is a vehicle in the rules that can be changed, what you change is irrelevant. It could be an Allied tank, a civilian car, or even naval vessel. The rules control all the information that would need changing, which can be done in the map file (there may be some arbitrary limitations I'm not aware of though).
Also I can tell you this, the beta testing team worked to make sure that there was no strategic advantage for the Allies or Epsilon over the Soviets. Basically, if I remember correctly, everywhere that can be reached by the Stallion and Driller, can be reached by Borillo. (It's one of the few things I remember that was specifically asked for when beta testing.)

I'm sure it's not quite as easy as just adding more maps under some list. I'm not quite sure what entirely is different in the game mode, but additional AI triggers would need to be put into each individual map. Of course if it's just basic rules edits, you're correct obviously and I'll support that.

Not sure how you mean for anyone to capture these. It sounds like you want them to only go to Epsilon. (Since they're the only ones with mind control units and now Hijackers, which are the only units that can mechanically capture vehicles.)
