Who would be in for a 1v1 or 2v2 tournament if we organized something like that? Also has anyone run something like this before for MO 3?

MO3 has been out for two months and we're still working on fixing its bugs and balance, nobody organized a tournament yet.

I'd be willing to run a simple friendly one if we get like 5 or 6 people interested. Maybe get some videos going to boot.

The mod is never going to be balanced, so you might as well do it now regardless. If anything it could help bring in more reports if you see the results of a tournament: which faction, if any, wins the most and against who.

This may be the case for the people well familiarized with the workings (i.e devs). Many first generation non dev players, including myself, may still be too noob to see why these two choices are so glaringly obvious.

 

Need at least 5 or 6 dudes/dudettes interested to kick this off.

Well libra+libra clones are the biggest problems i face when i'm up against Psicorps,they can attack all targets plus they are amphibious,just a small assistance to them (brutes mostly and some other units) and it's a gg.

Once i played as PC, I ate 4 nukes from the soviet player and still be able to win, simply brutes archer and masterminds, drag and go, no micro need...brainless yet stronk  X D

 

btw in the Chinese forum, already there are threads advocate the ban of PC in 1v1 , can't beat that ~

Tournaments are certainly something we've had in mind for a while. If you would like us to stream the tournament, we could certainly come to an agreement.

They're also saying China is underpowered and Nuwas need a buff. Just something to consider here.

(btw, if anyone wants to discuss side balance further, feel free to do so, but if it will continue here, i will move it to the Balance Feedback topic, along with this post, since this is not a place to discuss which side is OP or UP)

A good tournament would be good unless it isn't going to be cancelled. Furthermore everybody should stick to the "appointments". We had a tournament like event during the LC era, but the host disappeared, because the tournament wasn't successful in his view.

 

But I think and I've said this once that it would be good only after BR2 is out.
