My goal is make one of the skirmish/multiplayer colors (maybe khaki) the same light brown color used by China in the campaign. I had made changes to the colors in unmodded YR in years past and remember having diffuclties controlling what colors were changed. So, my question is simple: How do I make the light brown color in question usable in skirmish without changing when it's used in campaign? Preferrably while making as little changes to the other colors as possible.

The color you speak of is available in skirmish as well.

Light brown, you meant khaki?

No. Khaki as it appears in skirmish is a light green. The color I'm talking about is a light brown. For comparison, play a game as khaki and then play Dragonstorm. You'll see a difference.

I don't care about that. I never much enjoyed multiplayer strategy games.

Russet=22,207,158 ; Brown Dark MP08
Brown2=24,114,193 ; Brown Bright
Khaki=40,111,189 ; Khaki
Well,I haven't tried it out yet. But I guess you already have "that" so you may as well want to swap them.

Okay. Now, do I need to find a rules.ini for MO? I've only done this before on unmodded YR.

The Rules.ini download you sent me worked to an extent. I changed the color values and placed the file in the RA2 folder, and the color change had the desired effect, but now, in skirmish and campaign, I am able to build and train a whole bunch of stuff not usually buildable. For example, I can build every tech structure, train every hero of the selected faction for no money, and a bunch of test stuff like a chronoshifting super Boris. This I don't know how to fix without undoing the color changes I made.

To settle your stress; in Dragonstorm, the Chinese enemy uses the color 'Brown2', a mission only color.
From what you could've seen in the Colors table, there's little colors available for the player in skirmish
inb4 already knew that; the replies in the topic aren't consistent enough for me to detect that

Sorry for double post, just have a quick question:
Is the blue used by the allies in campaign "Neonblue" (same as skirmish) or the "AlliedLoad" Blue? It's hard to tell them apart.

SovietLoad is the same color value as Red. AlliedLoad is just ever so slightly darker than regular Blue. I'm not so sure about what you say on Epsilon's color though. ThirdLoad appears to be, for all intents and purposes, the original game's purple. The "purple" in multiplayer is a lighter shade, and it appears Epsilon uses this color in campaign, not Thirdload. I'm okay with that, though. I like the new purple better. It fits better with the color of the psychic "orb" in the mod's logo.

I just answered your question about what the Allies used in campaign.
As it happens I'm a very nice guy so I added Soviet and Epsilon for you too

Ding dong?
DID SOMEBODY SAY DERP?
Libra: The Floor is Ice!
Malver: Under the guidance of Lord Yuri.
Rahn: What are we waiting for?
...
Lord Yuri: I have taught you all well, be of one mind, one vision, proselytes!

I know, and I thank for that. I'm just pointing out that Thirdload isn't actually used in campaign. I like it actually. The original game's purple is sharp and unpleasant. MO's is "soft" if that makes any sense. XD
