Hey there guys quick question

I know this is techiccaly about the vanilla game but I found simply no answers on the web so I am asking here.

Does the gab generator effect the AI? i always had the feeling it was useless as they were still attacking my base despite having it covered with generators, but maybe I am missing something?

Gap Generator and Chimera Core are purely PvP stuff. AI never had trouble with it

Well, since AI would "mercure" my inf even with Chimera core, I doubt it a bit. That cheating abstard AI.

This is what I see when anyone misspell Fury Drone as Furry Drone

I made a youtube playlist of songs that may have inspired mission names (at least 50% is correct and seen by Speeder himself)

It has a role against AI, I mean the Gap Gen. It can drain unnecessarily energy making you an easy prey for the AI. :p

Chimera Core does work against AI.

Chimaera core actualy hides you infantry, so the AI can't masquarade their spies as them. GG is totaly useless, however.

It's because that was the beginning of developers losing touch with singleplayer campaigns and focusing on multiplayer. Many modern games treat the campaign solely has practice to train yourself for multiplayer, giving a shitty story just so they can still call it a campaign. RA2 was right on the edge of that era's beginning.

Stealth works against AI. That part has been handled pretty decently since the first C&C game. Otherwise Shadow Tanks/Malver/Submarines are quite useless. WW got that logic right because of submarines. The part they didn't get right is to have superweapons ignore stealthed units (Cue AI casting Psychic Dominator on submarines in vanilla YR).

The shroud, on the other hand, does not work against AI. They essentially have a no shroud trainer installed in them, amongst other things. So Gay Generators are useless in that aspect. :p

No it's because Westwood didn't do it. I don't believe RA1 Gap Generators affected the AI either, and it's not just Generators but all shroud in C&C. Infact it seems to me only later games tend to have the AI effected by fog of war etc. Also treating multiplayer as the main course tends to be a modern thing, earlier than certain triple A Xbox 360/PS3 games singleplayer was mostly the main focus, especially for strategy. Back then you couldn't rely on people having the internet at all.

And that's among the many reasons, why Ares-enhanced YR is better than YR w/o it. :p

Also, remember how the AI fired its superweapons on stealthed targets in TS and FS? Or that in Tiberium Wars, the AI will send detector units to your stealthed units, if you try sneaking them inside its base? I mean, the AI should have no idea that you got the Nod assassin thingies in his base and about to blow up his Ion Cannon Uplink, but it will send a detector directly to them. AI is a cheating bastard, it always was, and it always will be :D
