I just got started playing mental omega a few days ago after not having played any C&C games in several years, so far I've been doing skirmishes to learn what all the units are (since I couldn't find any guides) and I still don't know what some of the powers are. After getting some orientation with all the units and some abilities I decided to start the campaign.

After three attempts and three one-sided slaughterfests, I'm here asking what I'm missing? Am I supposed to start taking over the tech buildings? Or is there something I'm supposed to do with my ally? No matter what I do the non-stop horde of infantry/tanks and those damned flamer tanks obliterate my defense while the airships finish off everything else.

I appreciate a difficult campaign but this is pointless, I run out of resources almost as soon as I get control of the base (the crates help but not much). Is there something I'm supposed to do to at least get some breathing room to start building an offense? Because as soon as I manage to get any kind of force the wave upon wave of soviet reinforcements just plow right through it.

Garrison the buildings first.

If you are talking about the first allied mission then here are some tips:

-Eliminate the Soviet MCV as soon as it arrives so it can't deploy. I usually use the GIs and GGIs which I get at the starting. I order the armored vehicles to the pentagon.

-Garrison the buldings at the shorelines.

-Train as many GGI you can. Mostly the Borillos, Tanks and the Kirovs will be the main threats. You will also get some Abrams Tanks and 2 Aeroblazes later. Aeroblazes can tear apart Kirovs in seconds while Aeroblazes can take care of the infantry mob and tanks, borillos but try not to lose them.

Dealing with the forward base isn't too hard actually. It's just surviving the initial waves of enemy reinforcements that's difficult. At least after the reinforcements stop coming, you only need to defend the southwest positions.

Here are my walkthroughs, most of them are done in normal except Hammer To Fall, Unshakeable and Singularity. For Red Dawn Rising, the most important is to:

- Defend 3 key hot points

- make some Patriots around smaller outpost

- defend small outpost

- to complete missions earlier, you might send Bulldogs to the starting location of the Soviet MCV and eliminate it.

Ok thanks everyone for the help, it was fairly easy once I put all my starting units on the docks.
