Yes, I made a thread a while ago saying that I couldn't get MO 3.0 to work at all, and nothing's changed since then. When I click 'launch Mental Omega' I get the message:

 

***FATAL*** String Manager failed to initilaized (sic) properly

 

- Yuri's revenge works perfectly on it's own without the mod.

- I've done 6 (yes, literally 6) clean reinstalls of Red Alert 2, Yuri's Revenge and the mod itself.

- I've tried running YURI.exe, RA2md.exe and RA2.exe as an administrator.

- I've tried running YURI.exe, RA2md.exe and RA2.exe in every combination of compatibility modes.

- I've tried running the mod launcher as an administrator and in every compatibility mode.

- I'm running 64bit Windows 7 (which as previously stated does run vanilla Yuri's Revenge perfectly).

 

I will literally send 20 quid (or the equivalent in your local currency) to the paypal account of whoever gives me advice that gets this working.

Well unbelievably that did actually make it work.

 

Sort of.

 

It worked like an absolute dream in skirmish mode for exactly 5 minutes before crashing to desktop with the message 'The main executable has stopped working' or something to that effect. I tried it again twice, with the exact same result.

I know it's a great mod you've made so I don't particularly mind having to restart my computer every time I want to play it to disable and re-enable UAC, but not if it crashes after 5 minutes!

That's most likely a blittercrash, and we can't do much about it. It shouldn't happen in every game though.

Are you playing windowed or fullscreen?
BTW, you better post the crash files, as mentioned in this topic.
