Thanks buddy =) I hope here will be no major problem rigging him, but we'll see... For SEE I think I want the EA "Goblin King" anims. You know that obese guy with the staff. He moves in a way that fits Yazneg, but I have to verify the proportions first. Otherwise, normal orc anims...

Only one obstacle left.... how to split this into multiple UVs... Keeping it all in one UV sacrifices a lot of texture detail =/

Ah, there we go... Finally all done! I crammed all UVs into one map after all. With 1024 res it works just fine =)
For anims, I'm thinking the EA "Goblin King" (the guy with the stick, riding the scorpion)...

Gosh... Ea (Ealendril), is super fast indeed. It's already rigged, and the "Goblin King" anims fit Yazneg perfectly!
I didn't make any specific weapon for him though, so Ea slapped a CaH orc sword on him. Looks pretty good =)

Hehe... no problem, it's gonna be a few more months before I'm done coding Erebor, so we won't need maps until we're ready for release of the "first" beta with the first two factions =) I asked Ea to give him a second weapon though, for the left hand. I'm thinking a spear (like in the movie), or simply a second sword as some anims utilize the left hand for attacks etc....

Ea and I agreed that Yaz needs the special weapon Weta designed... even though is was never in the movie. This way, he can use two weapons, like the SKL is meant to do =)

I can't really find any info on the weapon as such, but yeah, that's my interpretation too. The question is, bones from what? I'm thinking perhaps dragon? As such, we could utilize this as a special power for Yaz where he could jam the wepon into the ground (like "Goblin ing" did) and create something like fear or some kind of bous or whatever... (That's why I added the bottom spike)

Could be from a troll or any other larger creature. interesting thoughts about fear. Although Im starting to think fear is being a bit overused. Might be neater and a little more unique if the slamming was him setting a trap, he is a hunter orc after all

I wonder if it could work like crippling shot? Some sort of snare that traps either a group of units or a single unit in place hopefully triggered when they enter withing a certain radius.

Sounds great! Some kind of weapon like that, being released upon proximity entry =) It doesn't even have to be his axe. I think we can use any kind of model for that particual anim (as in vanilla he jams the staff into ground, but still has a "copy" in his hand)

First of all, this model is fantastic, just like the other hero models!
Yeah, he is... Loads of battle damage and scars. But I like him. The weird fether style back piece was awkward to sculpt, but I think it turned out ok in the end. Painting should be fairly quick =) After this, I only have Bolg and the Goblin Town gobbos left to finish the new Hobbit movie assets for this faction:
Azog
Bolg
Yazneg
Fimbul
Hunter Orcs
Wargs
Moria Orcs
Great Goblin
Goblin Town goblins
and Stone Giants.
How about Narzug? He plays a little role in the second movie and he could be the early-game archer hero. He would make 5 orc heroes: Azog, Bolg, Fimbul, Narzug, Yazneg. (Excluding the Great Goblin as a goblin)

No plans for Narzug as I find the roster quite good now, including the Great Goblin. In the movie, he's not really hero material either, I think..
